"Great service GM not so nice"
The service writing staff is top notch. Never have a problem. The new service manager seems very nice. I liked him as a service writer. The shop forman Steve, awesome to deal with. The GM Ryan needs some people skills. Not a very nice personality. The Scranton’s always were so personable. This fellow, not so much. Just look at the revolving door on the service manager’s position.I love the service staff but not the new management.
You asked for my opinion and here it is.
I talked to David Baeza in sales and he’s a great person.
"Horrible customer service"
This place is a disaster. I dropped my car off because the transmission failed, and was told it should be ready by thr middle of the next week, but that they would call me before the end of the day to confirm the problem, and to get ke a free rental vehicle. No one called me back for several days. Everytime I called, the service person knew nothing about my car, and had no rental for me. Eventually I asked to talk to the service manager, who was very rude and argumentative and also knew nothing about what was going on with my car, and said I was not entitled to a free rental vehicle even though it is explicitly advertised on their "your on hold forever" recording that customers with vehicles brought in for warranty repairs will be given a free rental. Do then I called the general manger who said he would not be around, but would look into it. So after hearing nothing for 2 weeks and never getting a rental car from them, I got a call saying it was ready to be picked up. When I picked it up, not one person I had spoken to was there, and not a single piece of paper was given to me to document the repair in any way. I still have no idea what was wrong with it or what they did, even now, a month later, I have never been mailed any kind of paperwork or receipt or anything. It all seems very sketchy.
"MY Car was there for 2 weeks.NO CALL BACKS FROM GEN MANAGER "
I'm not pleased that the General manager Ryan Williams or Meghan Scranton didn't do a follow up call on the poor service as promised.
"Good service bad morales"
My name is Daniel B. Let me start out with saying the staff is incredibly nice until you sign a contract. I purchased my first brand new vehicle here a 2018 gmc terrain. I found the price I wanted online and didn't realize it was not all wheel drive. The salesmen "found" me an all wheel drive one for the price I wanted and verbally explained to me it was and showed me how to put it in all wheel drive. I found out it was not. I called him he apologized and said they would do what they could to make it right. Long story short it's my terrain because I signed the paperwork and now it's my problem. I will not be returning to scranton vernon ever again and most likely will not buy another gmc again.
" Enjoyable and very happy well taken care of "
My visit at Scranton motors was enjoyable and easy. Everyone there was very nice and professional. They help me out a lot with the new technologies that I was on a familiar with
I had been looking to upgrade my personal vehicle for about 6 months, and my cousin Jonathan Wolff encouraged me to look to Scranton for my next purchase, having had an excellent experience himself when buying a similar vehicle. While I've been involved in the automotive industry and have had serious reservations about the buying experience at a dealership in the past, including several less than satisfactory dealings at other places while acquiring cars for my wife, I decided to give it a shot. Being an ASE certified tech, and having run similar businesses in the past, I feel entitled to speak my mind and not have a flim flam routine performed in my presence. I'm a straight forward type of guy, and so is Paulie. When I explained to him what I wanted, expected and was looking for, he didn't hesitate to lead me right to it. There was not even a hint of the commonly contrived 'bait and switch' tactics that most car buyers fear. I got exactly what I was looking for at the price I expected to pay. Everyone was honest and forthright about the value of my proposed trades, and I elected to keep them while still completing my purchase. There were other vehicles for the taking, but he understood the parameters behind my decision making, and didn't stray even by an inch. I'm coming back to take advantage of other upgrades that Scranton offered to make the vehicle a little more compatible with my line of work and personal tastes as well. I'm a car guy at heart, and while many people like me are similarly set against transactions at major dealerships, I can whole heartedly endorse Scranton Motors as a dealership that exceeds the expectations of even the toughest customers like myself. I will be coming back again for my next GM purchase!
