Very nice sales people. They are honest, and not pushy. They follow through on what they discussed and there are no hidden surprises. They follow through on what they discussed and there are no hidden surprises. More

Every word in this email is true and anyone who wants to verify, please contact DePaula on Central Ave in Albany NY, they can give you my name. I purchased a 2013 KIA Forte with 73,662 miles on it on Septe verify, please contact DePaula on Central Ave in Albany NY, they can give you my name. I purchased a 2013 KIA Forte with 73,662 miles on it on September 30th 2020 along with the top warranty DePaula told me was the best they offered (Advantage Care Smart Autocare) On 10/29/2020 car would not go above 25 MPH. Issue was addressed and warranty company paid invoice. On 11/19/2020 Same issue as before. Issue was addressed and warranty company paid invoice On 6/9/2021 Vehicle suddenly stalled while making right turn, again vehicle would not go above 40 MPH. I was informed that earliest time to bring vehicle in would be 6/21/2021 Left vehicle at DePaula on 6/18/2021 Mileage at 78,257 I have driven this car a total of 4,595 miles. I just picked up my vehicle almost three months to the day that I dropped it off at DePaula. I have never been treated so unprofessionally as I was by this company. Prior to the actual purchase of this vehicle and the “extended warranty”, the people at DePaula bent over backwards and promised me that the extended warranty would take care of any issues I would encounter. I was informed that my engine was shot and when DePaula had car towed across the street to the KIA dealership to have one of their mechanics verify that engine was no good due to an internal issue, I was told I needed to produce proof that I had oil changed within the last 6 months or my warranty would be voided. I produced oil change record and than was told warranty company was willing to purchase a used engine worth $4,000. Unfortunately KIA dealership wanted $6,773.50 a difference of $2773.50 which neither warranty company nor DePaula would consider paying, again, even with my so called wonderful Extended Warranty. From the day I dropped my car off the only answer I received from anyone at DePaula or the warranty company was that no one could help me, no matter who I spoke with on the phone or texted, I got the same answer from everyone. After numerous times of texting my service advisor and being told by him and his supervisors that no one would take responsibility for repairs, even after explaining about my great warranty they offered me, I finally went in personally and spoke with someone who has direct communication with the warranty company and even they said it was absurd the warranty company or DePaula couldn’t or wouldn’t help me out, so again, this gentleman at DePaula said he would look into it and even assured me that if their contact at warranty company could not do anything to rectify this absurd situation, he would go above her head and speak with her supervisor to correct this. After several days I received a text saying there was nothing that anyone could do to help me. So it was very clear that Warranty Company and DePaula expected me to pay and additional $2773.50 even though: A) I had problems with this vehicle almost from the first month of purchasing it. B) I had paid $2,500.00 for the so called “Extended Warranty” that would assure me that if anything were to go wrong, it would be covered. It clearly states in the warranty service agreement under: Powertrain Coverage All internal lubricated parts….are covered. I finally got my vehicle back after walking into DePaula and demanding in a very loud obnoxious tone that my car be fixed and returned to me ASAP. Being patient, polite and understanding got me nowhere unfortunately, it was only after raising my voice did anyone get my car put back together. Oh and I was charged $500.00 for DePaula to put in a used engine with 67,000 miles on it, probably just long enough for the 6 month warranty on the engine to expire. Thanks DePaula for sending me a text asking me to write a brief survey on how everything went with my vehicle. You folks are real aces even though you never stood by one word you said to me. Can you imagine not having your own vehicle for over 3 months due to a car dealerships inadequate responsibility?? More
