On the way home, the Emissions System Problem light came on. I messaged a picture of this to the salesperson the next day and he assured me it would be fixed under warranty. We live over an hour away so we scheduled an appointment for 9/28 because of our work schedules. During our visit, they replaced the fuel injectors, and told me that that would fix the problem. Eight days later, the light came back on again. I took it back to the service department, expecting them to fix the issue under warranty, but instead, I was told less than 30 minutes that the front catalyst was bad and that it was not covered under the warranty we had purchased. They wanted to charge me over $1600 to repair the front catalyst. Either the service department is incompetent, or they intentionally tried to deceive me while I could still return the vehicle by putting a Band-Aid on the problem when they replaced the fuel injectors. Had I known that the vehicle needed almost $2000 in repairs we would not have purchased the vehicle for $22,000! There is no way that the dealership did not know that this was a problem before we purchased the vehicle as the light turned on literally on our drive home. This is the most expensive vehicle purchase we have ever made and I cannot believe that Shottenkirk Honda will not stand behind the product they sold me. There is no way I would ever recommend this dealership to anyone again. This is a very poor and deceptive business practice.
