My wife and I were in need of a new / slightly used vehicle. We had taken our car to another dealer - CarMax - for an apprasial and to see what we could qualify for. After hearing what they could put vehicle. We had taken our car to another dealer - CarMax - for an apprasial and to see what we could qualify for. After hearing what they could put us in at what rates, we decided to get a second opinion. Enter South Oak Dodge Chrysler Jeep. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and made to feel comfortable. Scott Chenoweth took care of us. "Scotty" took the time to listen to our specific situation and needs. He LISTENED. Most other dealers are already trying to put you in something you don't really want. Scotty then went to Lisa (Finance Manager) and the two crunched numbers - based on what my wife and I were looking for. He came back with multiple options and scenarios that fit our needs. Who does that? Familiar with the square peg in a round hole analogy? My wife and I were definitely an odd shaped peg - and rather than try and cram us into a hole that would benefit Scott - he worked his tail off trying to find the perfect fit for us - on OUR TERMS. Not only did we end up trading in our vehicle for a South Oak vehicle ... we left with two new vehicles! He took the time to figure out that our other vehicle was very high up in the miles and likely would be heading to repair row very soon. Now, instead of having two vehicles needing repairs and no warranty/coverage ... we now have two new vehicles with bumper-to-bumper coverage AND LIFETIME drive train warranty! While I never would have imagined I'd leave with 2 new vehicles ... I know have solid piece of mind that should I need any repairs down the road, I'm covered. SO HAPPY I went to South Oak and worked with Scotty! He is not your typical salesperson. He really cares about putting you into the right vehicle on YOUR terms. I would recommend him to ANYONE. South Oak - if you keep employees like Scotty ... you have earned a customer for life! (And I have 2 kids coming up to driving age ... will definitely be coming back soon!) I came to South Oak in search of a new vehicle after going to a local dealer closer to my home. I did not have a good experience with them so I was hesitant to try again but saw what I was looking for going to a local dealer closer to my home. I did not have a good experience with them so I was hesitant to try again but saw what I was looking for online at South Oak and decided to try again. From the time I got there and was greeted by Scott to the time I left I could not believe the difference. He listened to what I was looking for and once we found something he went into detail as to what everything did and how everything worked. I learned more from Scott in 30 min that I did from the dealer at home in 1 1/2 hours. He worked with me and explained all my options with payments. I came back the next day to sign paperwork and he found some more discounts that only helped in the end. Even though it is a 30 min drive to get there I will take my new car up there for any and all services that I will need. It's amazing what a little thing called good customer service can do for not only a business but also a customer's peace of mind. Thank you to Scott and the rest of the team that made it possible for me to get a new 2012 Dodge Journey with everything I wanted!! More

We had a real good experience buying our Jeep from South Oak. When Scott told us what we could buy the Jeep for it was lower then we expected and we did not have to hagle over price. Scott also found us a $750 discount were were not aware of. When we picked up the Jeep Scott spent alot of time explaining how things worked. We also had questions after we had the Jeep and Scott got back to us quickly. And also to our surprise our first oil chamge was on South Oak. Over all it was a no pressure and friendly experience. Scott and Kay came highly recommended to us by at least 4 other people. We started working with them several months ago to pick a vehicle that would suit our family's needs. My experience with South Oak Dodge was good in reference to the friendless of the employees. Scott Chenoweth and Lisa were very friendly and a pleasure to work with. When I came to the dealer, I didnt r to the friendless of the employees. Scott Chenoweth and Lisa were very friendly and a pleasure to work with. When I came to the dealer, I didnt realize that the lower sticker price that includes 3 incentives was criteria which most of us do not meet. It was my fault for not looking closely at the small lettering and I'm not blaming South Oak. But, I know when I looked on line, that lower price for the 2012 Challenger for $25,800 is what lured me in. I do know what to look for next time... I think dealerships should only list the higher price bolded and list the lower price with incentives in small lettering. I was angry about it at first, but I love the car and I went ahead with the purchase any way. So, my fault for not reading the fine print. I am dissapointed with the trade in value I received on my 2011 Kia Sorrento. Blue Book listed it at 21,000 and South Oak only gave us 18,000. So, with thinking initially the price of the car was $25,800; and I would at the least receive at least 19,000 for trade in, I didnt plan on putting money down to be able to afford the payments. So, when the sale is almost complete, the car is $30,000; I only get $18,000 for my trade which put me in a situation I couldnt afford unless I gave $1,000 down. All I wanted really was to keep my payments under $400 without a down payment. But, I went ahead with the sale anyway. I think we could have received at least $19,000 for our trade. The suv was in good condition, no accidents and not that many miles. I will say though that Lisa did find interest rates for me a little lower, which I did apprecitate bringing my payments to $416.00. Scott also worked with me in getting another $1,000. So, I thought about it some more, and I think overall, South Oak is good dealership. They did try to work with me getting money knocked off here and there. Just not happy with trade in. That extra $1,000 could have really helped me. More
