Deceptive Dealership Practices Over my years, I have been to dozens of dealerships; some 1 star, some 5 star, and some in between. However, I give this dealership 1 star only because I cannot leave a review without giving at least one but they honestly don't even deserve that. Just to note, I am not the type of person who leaves a review, so that should show how awful my experience was. They had a car listed on their website, so I contact them through online chat to confirm the details and availability, check. I also called them directly to confirm the details and availability, check. A couple days later when I scheduled an appointment to see and drive the vehicle, I called to confirm details, availability and that it be ready for me just before I left my house to make the hour drive, check. When I got there, I checked in and waited for someone to help me out. The salesman introduced himself and brought me to his desk where I explained I was there to see the specific vehicle listed. He starts to look in his computer and tells me he doesn't see the vehicle, and starts inquisitively asking me why I didn't want a newer one. I told him I only want to see the vehicle listed, the one I confirmed 3 times was available. He continues to look and tells me, "Oh, its at my other lot". He tells me its not far and we can walk there, but he's not sure it will be ready for me to see. We walk a couple blocks to a small and cramped used car lot under different a different name and asks about the car. We're told it may be in the wash bay but was sold. Sold? I called an hour ago, so how could it be sold. We go inside and find the car buried amongst other cars. He asks another employee what is the story with the car. His reply was jaw dropping. The car sold two weeks ago, but the guy has not yet come to get it. The salesman states he'll be right back cause he wants to get the facts from the manager and leaves me in the dark dingy garage. He comes back and says the car has been sold and the buyer was given to the end of the day to come pay for it and pick it up. I angrily start to leave and he asks me if I want to test drive it. Really...for what? I explain I called 3 times to confirm availability, including only an hour prior and if the vehicle sold 2 weeks ago, why didn't anyone tell me that before I wasted my time. He starts pointing fingers at the sales receptionist, and I explain I don't care; I went there to buy the car today, in cash. He says lets go back to the dealership and talk with his dealerships manager. He sits me at his desk and says he'll go talk with the manager. After about ten minutes, he comes back and says we need to agree on a price before he can consider it. I quickly respond asking him if he expects me to SIGN to an agreed price of the vehicle without thoroughly seeing it or test driving it, meanwhile it's already signed and sold to someone else. He says yes and I reasonably explode and leave. If you work hard for your money and value your time, STAY AWAY FROM EASTCHESTER CHRYSLER JEEP & DODGE. More
