Tanya, my service advisor was receptive when I brought my 2018 Chevy Trax into the dealership for ongoing issues and preventative maintenance on December 9, 2025. She was patient listening to my concerns, an 2018 Chevy Trax into the dealership for ongoing issues and preventative maintenance on December 9, 2025. She was patient listening to my concerns, answering all my questions and was quite explanatory when it came to providing me with updates by text and by phone on car rental information, diagnosis results, GM warranty coverage and requesting my approval for needed parts and repairs throughout the eleven days my vehicle was in the service department. Frankly, I was quite shocked when given the quote for the final cost on all the necessary repairs, parts and labor.especially since Tanya had given me an initial estimate of a $1300 within the first three days of my car being in the service department but further diagnostics were necessary. It was going to be quite a hardship paying out of pocket even with the portion that was to be covered by the extended warranty. Having expressed this to Tanya, she kindly provided me with payment options through Sunbit or applying for a GM credit card which had some added benefits, if approved. This was quite helpful. However, what was discouraging about my experience was the length of time it took to determine whether or not my extended warranty would cover the needed car rental, any of the required parts and repairs, waiting for the GM inspector to arrive from Lansing, Michigan to inspect and approve any of the $6400 cost for repairs, parts and labor incurred in those eleven days of service. Additionally, it was also frustrating that the tech working on my car could not duplicate some of my noted concerns such as having my A/C and heater not working effectively as well as my radio and GPS system going haywire or shutting down when driving to an appointment. I had issues with my A/C three months after purchasing the car and portions of it had to be replaced. Tanya suggested that quite possibly the battery that needed replacing may have been causing the issues with the radio and GPS. She advised me to wait and see if the newly replaced battery would resolve the problem but unfortunately the problem still persists and will have to bring my car back to the service department to have it checked out once again. More
