I've been with Smythe Volvo since 1991 and have over thirty years experience in the automotive industry. The best part about working at Smythe Volvo is the local business feel of the company. Knowing almost every customer who walks into the shop is a great feeling. My favorite Volvo of all time was the C30. It was a small, fast and super-fun 2 door hatchback with a turbo 5 cylinder engine. When not at Smythe Volvo, you can find me kayaking or fishing somewhere in New Jersey.

After taking possession of the car, I had a small issue with the (no warranty) car. Between Chris and Tom in service, they had the issue sorted out in no time. Smythe took care of the bill, and I had the car back in a day. Minor speed bump, but taken care of in short order, at no cost to us. We are Volvo people through and through. Smythe Volvo people! More

Great dealer, excellent staff! My wife and I have long been a fan, actually loyalist, of Volvo, but it was only until recently that we migrated from Australia to the US to work for My wife and I have long been a fan, actually loyalist, of Volvo, but it was only until recently that we migrated from Australia to the US to work for the UN and we have the opportunity to buy Volvo cars. After doing some research, we chose Smythe Volvo for two reasons: (1) closeness to our residence; and (2) positive online reviews from customers. It appeared it is the right decision. Our sales contact person is Mr Kristian Henriksen, who is very friendly and knowledgeable, and he helped us to choose the first car, a pre-owned 2014 S60 T5 for my commuting. We originally were interested in another one, but were convinced by Kristian for nice features of this car. I have driven it on a daily basis for three months and feel very good for its performance. When I picked up the car in a hurry, I did not notice a minor issue in the rock panel on the car body. I found it more than a week later and notified Kristian, and then brought the car back to Smythe Volvo for check even after two months. However, Kristian is very helpful in analyzing and determining the issue, and the manager was generous to offer to fix the issue. We very much appreciate their trust and kindness. More recently, we decided to buy another car, and would like to have a XC60 this time. I told Kristian our criteria and he helped us to choose a certified pre-owned 2015 model. The car looks like a new one and after a test drive we immediately decided to buy it. Of course, Kristian used his knowledge and experience to help us to make a sound judgment. It is a real bargain and we very much appreciate his care for his customer. During the buying process, I was impressed by the business manager Kevin Bergeren for his professionalism. In car serving, I also found Dennis Jeffers and Tom Coward very friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. In the future we are very likely to buy brand new Volvos when our budget situation improves. With such a good dealer and excellent staff, I am sure I will talk to Kristian and Smythe Volvo again. I also would like to recommend them to future customers, as we definitely benefit from reviews from previous customers. More

Since 1994. I have purchased three cars from Smythe Volvo, in 1994, 2004 and 2017, and the experience has been fantastic. Starting with purchasing my three cars from Chris Henriksen, to receiving great service from Tom Coward, Doug MacAdam and Tina Dewald, along with many others who I do not know by name, I can only say that I have been thrilled with the professional attention I have received during the past 23 years. The quality of the vehicles goes without saying. My 1994 Volvo, a wagon, was sold with over 200,000 miles, after traveling to California with my son and his young family. My 2004 Volvo, a cross country wagon, was recently sold with just under 155,000 miles. My latest recent purchase was a 2017 XC60. I am looking forward to driving my new car for at least 200,000 miles! The people who work at the Smythe Volvo Dealership can be described as professionals who pay careful attention to all details. What more could a consumer ask? More

Honest with High Integrity I had a great experience in service and this team solved a long-standing issue with my 2004 S40 not being able to pass emissions. Tom C was great but I had a great experience in service and this team solved a long-standing issue with my 2004 S40 not being able to pass emissions. Tom C was great but special thanks and callout to James for identifying the front and rear oxygen sensors were installed in the opposite positions (from a different service center before I went to Smythe.) I had been prepared to purchase a new rear sensor and due to James discovery I did not need that installed and my car finally passed emissions. I can't thank James enough for demonstrating such honestly and high integrity. More
