A family member had her car totaled by a distracted tow truck driver! Luckily no one was hurt but the family car needed to be replaced. All the news and all the advice said it was a terrible time to shop for a used car because of high prices and low inventory caused by the pandemic. I sent word to Dan Cohen and John Clarke at Liberty that I needed a good used car at a good price for an out of town family member. (I bought my first new Forester there in 2000 and when I decided to buy a new one in 2017, I went right back). I knew I could count on Liberty and in particular, Dan & John. I was not disappointed. Within the span of a week, we had a beautiful, certified pre-owned 2019 Forester. It was the break my sister & brother-in-law needed after the accident and I was grateful to John & Dan. From test drives, to out of state purchase paperwork, to patiently answering questions & setting a very fair price, I could not have gotten better service. Both John & Dan are good humored, kind and knowledgeable. When the family came to NJ to pick up their almost new car, they were impressed and equally struck by the service and the welcome. No one likes having to buy a car in an emergency but Liberty made it a whole lot easier and really reminded us that car buying can be fun and easy and professional if you know the right place to shop. The team at Liberty Subaru is very courteous, polite, and respectful. They don’t rush to make the sale. They take their time to make sure that we understand everything about the purchase, not only from a finance perspective but also from a car/technology perspective. I was casually looking for a new car for a few months and reached out to Liberty about my options regarding a trade-in. Joey DiMiglio responded promptly, professionally, and without pressure. I continued my research (wasn't sure if I wanted to stick with Chevy, or keep my 2017 and wait for 2022 or beyond models) until I decided to treat myself. He was able to see me shortly after I reached out again. He was very knowledgeable about the product and answered all of my questions. My trade-in price was as expected and he didn't try to up-sell though I did opt for an extended warranty since it's a great value. I came back later in the week to pick up my vehicle and worked with Tom Portee for the financing. Tom and Joey had all of my paperwork prepared and went over all of the details clearly and efficiently. All in all, I was probably in the dealership for about an hour each visit. I'm so extremely happy with my vehicle and feel like they treated me with respect, fairness, and transparency.
