I went in for an oil change. As always - the customer service rep recommended some other work given the number of miles on my car. OK fine. I asked "will that take much longer As always - the customer service rep recommended some other work given the number of miles on my car. OK fine. I asked "will that take much longer than my oil change" - the response was no. It took three hours for the representative to call me to her desk and tell me they found my car to be out of alignment and in need of a new tire and then asked if I wanted that done too. (another $400 and at least another half hour). That timing tells me they didn't even look at my car for about the first two hours of waiting. I did not have anything else done. I suspect the service center overbooks or is understaffed or both. But almost every visit is three hours. I have complained about this before. Not sure if I should try another Toyota location or just start using a local mechanic. More

It felt like they tried to take advantage of me - $400 worth of services were recommended, even though my car has exhibited none of the warning signs and nothing on the multipoint inspection showed “needs worth of services were recommended, even though my car has exhibited none of the warning signs and nothing on the multipoint inspection showed “needs attention”; in fact, everything was green. If it’s all good, how could I need these services? If I need those services, why would you rate everything as ok - something isn’t adding up and it doesn’t feel great. More
