I had the misfortune of dealing with Toyota of Tampa Bay and it was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, the experience was a textbook example of everything that could go wrong with a car dealer Bay and it was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, the experience was a textbook example of everything that could go wrong with a car dealership. Firstly, the salesperson Yousef Abdullah was pushy and seemed more interested in meeting their quota than actually helping me find a suitable car. They kept trying to upsell me on vehicles that were clearly out of my budget and not at all what I was looking for. Once I finally settled on a car, the paperwork process was excruciatingly slow. It felt like they were deliberately stalling to wear me down so I would accept their inflated financing rates and unnecessary add-ons. They conveniently "forgot" to mention several fees until the very last minute, which nearly doubled the price I initially agreed upon. Toyota of Tampa bay was nothing short of a financial disaster orchestrated by a salesperson Yousef Abdullah and Chris Bice the so called manager whose only goal seemed to be squeezing every last penny out of me. From the moment I stepped onto the lot, it was clear their priority was profit over customer satisfaction. They were not just pushy; they were downright predatory. They immediately latched onto me like a vulture, recommending cars well beyond my budget and pushing unnecessary add-ons like extended warranties and rust-proofing treatments. Despite my clear budget constraints, they persisted in trying to upsell me at every turn. When it came time to discuss financing, they conveniently neglected to mention the exorbitant interest rates and hidden fees that would inflate the total cost of the car. I felt pressured into accepting their terms, as they made it seem like this was my only option to secure the vehicle I wanted. To add insult to injury, the final price they quoted me was significantly higher than what we initially agreed upon. They tacked on fees for "preparation" and "documentation" that were never disclosed upfront, essentially holding my purchase hostage until I reluctantly agreed to pay up. When I protested and asked to speak to a manager, the salesperson became defensive and dismissive, insisting that these were standard industry practices and that I should have been more informed. Their lack of integrity and willingness to exploit customers for financial gain was appalling. In the end, I left Toyota of Tampa Bay feeling cheated and taken advantage of. The entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I would caution anyone considering buying a car from them to proceed with extreme caution. Unless you enjoy being manipulated and financially exploited, find a dealer that values honesty and respects their customers' budgets. I came back and I tried to address these issues with a different salesperson a year later because I cannot afford those awful rates, they were dismissive and unapologetic, insisting that these were standard practices and that I should have read the fine print more carefully. Their lack of professionalism and blatant disregard for customer service left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Toyota or Tampa Bay to stay away. Their deceptive sales tactics, poor customer service, and lack of transparency make them one of the WORST car dealerships I have ever encountered. Save yourself the headache and find a dealer that actually values its customers. More

We made an appointment to see a vehicle and when we went to see it the next day, they said if we wanted the vehicle they had to change the tires and put in a new battery as well as detail it. If they knew we made an appointment, why didn’t they do the maintenance before we went? We waited for hours after purchasing the vehicle and finally we were going to leave and saw the seats had not been vacuumed and the car still had unwashed spots on it. We told our salesman and he said they would redo it another day for us. We came home and noticed the “brand new” tires were used, and all had different tread. We told them about that as well as the detailing they said they would redo, and told us detailing would take 2-4 hours when he told us at the time of purchasing the vehicle it only takes an hour. As for the tires, he said his manager said the tires are over 85% which is like new. Then why tell us we’re getting brand new tires and why give us ones with all different tread? Not to mention the vehicle was listed for $16,944 the day we made the appointment and the next day the price changed to over $17,000. Then when bargaining the price, the manager says “he has to put his most aggressive price forward”. Is that why they changed the price after there was an appointment made to see the vehicle? Overall wouldn’t come here again. Not to mention the vehicle purchase price went up almost $7000 with dealer fees. More
