Marty’s GMC worked hard to get the deal done and done right. I had been looking for months and saw a truck I liked at Marty’s. Zack did the rest in pulling the deal together and making it seamless. The people here seem very nice and speak well to you. . No problem in that respect.. I will however say this much about the service dept.. Their lack of trying to get a fix for a simple burned out license . No problem in that respect.. I will however say this much about the service dept.. Their lack of trying to get a fix for a simple burned out license plate light bulb holder that was rotted out leads me to believe they lack certain MacGyver skills.. Thus I was given a rejection sticker on the vehicle I just paid big money for... I was told they'd order the new part but we're uncertain when it would be in...I understand completely that the supply chain issues all businesses are going thru is not their fault.. What I don't understand is how something this simple was not checked out before a vehicle is put up for sale , and was only found out after its sold and during the process of giving it a sticker... After two weeks with a rejection sticker I ordered a pair of aftermarket ones to replace the original.. Got the new set in a few days.. Called them back and told the salesman I have a new set so we can finish up this entire transaction.. Had I not done this myself I'd be driving around for God knows how long with a rejection sticker .. This kind of nonsense does not make a dealership look very good for their efforts to resolve the issue which quite frankly should have been dealt with long before it was put online to be sold... I might expect this from a private seller but not a major dealership when your buying a vehicle in the 35 to 40 thousand dollars range.. The vehicle is not brand new so I'm ok with some things not being perfect . But again this is something that should have been dealt with before being sold so the proper sticker could be given... Driving around in a 40,000 dollar truck with a rejection sticker from the place you just bought it from is not my idea of enjoying your new ride while waiting to be pulled over for three months or more...... As I said I took care of the problem myself and could have simply fixed it and gone somewhere closer for a good sticker.. In these times I certainly don't enjoy giving anyone a bad reference but the effort it took on my part to finish this deal is unexceptable.. I'm in a business that puts food on your table depending on your customer service skills to make a customer happy.. I have the skills and technical ability to make sure people have heat in their house when they need it most... lastly the woman who gave me my keys back was not happy in the least telling me it was done and where my vehicle was and was basically acting like I should just get in it and leave.. What i wanted to do was at least thank the tech and the salesman but that didn't happen... I'm not happy that I was made to feel like this was a big deal when in fact I could have fixed this myself in 5 mins... I will simply chock this whole experience up to some people having a bad day.. I have them too , but I never take them out on customers for any reason... I really wanted to give a better review than this but unfortunately I can't with the way I was treated and what I had to do to fix such a minor problem..... I hope you all read this and understand I didn't write this out of malice , but the truth of it all is I wasn't made to feel like anything important .. No customer is not important .. More
