I first came to this dealership with a Honda civic that someone hit-and-run from the back completely smashing the glass rendering the car totaled. A sleezy pushy salesman named Ted Cruchley told me that I have only two options: purchase an accord or have no car at all. Since I had PTSD from the accident on top of being traumatized from my abusive marriage and divorce where I ended up homeless because I had no lawyer, I had no choice but to agree to the terms since my second job is as a delivery driver and I need a vehicle in order to earn income. As soon as Ted checked my license for the test drive he saw that I used to live in Newport Beach and he goes, “Ohhh Newport Beach!”, implying that I must have money because I used to live there. I was trying to explain to him that after I was living in a car during my divorce, then my mom’s couch, I worked 12 hour days for months to be able to afford the cheapest studio not just in Newport, but in all of Orange County the property was called Eight 80 and you can look it up yourself it has all 1 star reviews and it’s nickname is “The Ghetto of Newport Beach” because it’s so cheap there are a lot of shady people that love there and I never felt safe so thankfully moved into a dorm on my college campus now. Ted refused to listen he kept talking over me and discussing HIS family, his daughter, wife etc he didn’t want to hear my story at all. I told Ted that I would be only eating potatos from since that would be all I could afford and he laughed and told me “enjoy your potatos”. He did not even ask when I was okay when he saw my old Honda Civic with all the glass smashed, instead asking to keep a sticker I had in the trunk so he could put it on his water bottle. I wanted to give an update that ever since I was oversold this expensive monstrosity my life has been LITERAL xxxx I have to work 40+ hours a week on top of being a full time student. My parents are both severe alcoholics so they don’t help me at all it’s the opposite I have been taking care of them my entire life. I am not going to repeat the word my father used to describe what this dealership did to me but I will share it begins with an “F” so you can go ahead and use your imagination on that one. I’m not sure how people at this dealership are able to sleep at night on top of that I was constantly harassed by someone named Kevin Olive who was incredibly rude and kept asking me to not complain so he didn’t get in trouble. Every time I sit in that overpriced Honda Accord I cry from emotional pain and stress. More
