Patient, helpful, no hard sell - carguyjanet123
We visited the dealership three times before making our purchase. Each time, we met with a different member of their sales staff: Isaiah Hurtado, Fritz Roepke, and Elias Gonzalez. We did several test drives with Isaiah, who answered all of our questions and helped us decide on the right car for us. The next day, we talked price and financingwith Fritz. Fritz was cordial, constructive, and worked with our numbers. Unlike other dealerships, there was no aggressive hard sell when we left to consider our options. On the third day, Elias helped us through the process of actually purchasing the car, answered all of our practical questions, and remained attentive through the closing steps of the process. Overall, it was a very positive experience that avoided many of the hassles and headaches we anticipated.
No appointment - Dhedman
I showed up without an appointment. They helped me right away to get my new CX-5. It took a little while to get all of the paperwork done but I am very happy with the service and the car.
I was the easiset sale, because they were upfront and honest - Moldyballs
I would recommend Steven Camacho who is by far the best Internet Sales Rep. He allowed me to test drive all the vehicles I was interested in and some!!
Twice at H>B. Mazda with Joe Rosales - chobeto
I did a business with Joe Rosales last year, and just yesterday I went back to H.B. Mazda and looked for him. He is a very easy going person to do business with, he was very helpful and courteous, I felt as if I was doing business with and old friend.
Joe tries to find what the client needs, and explains everything and even helped me to set my cell phone.
I advise you to ask for Joe Rosales when you go to H.B. Mazda, he will go the extra mile to help you.
Thank you Joe
Attentive, respectful dealer that's willing to work! - jereturn84
This was my first car in 12 years...my parents had bought the last one. Needless to say, I had never really worked with a dealer. I had been looking at a new car for awhile, and had visited several dealers, and was alternating between nervous (dealers that came on incredibly strong), frustrated (dealers that won't deal), and irritated (dealers that didn't know a thing except that they need to move "x" widgets by "xx/xx/xx date").
Everyone at Capistrano Mazda was fantastic to deal with. Katrina Brown was my salesperson, and she was easily the most easygoing, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating salesperson I had dealt with. She was quick to respond to e-mails and very transparent with her quotes, proving that she was able to work with data from other dealers. Not once did she outrightly dismiss a quote from another dealer or an offer from me. Every idea was entertaining, and every counteroffer was neatly broken down.
I did have a trade in...a rather old trade in. Now, while the trade in still looked great, ran great, and had lots of options, it was still old and had lots of miles. Katrina did not give me any runaround about how much Capistrano Mazda could offer: She was very clear that the maximum was between $100 to $200, and she apologized a lot for any offense caused. I thought this was really kind, not because I was offended (I realized it was worth more in memories than it was on the market!), but because she wanted to keep my business without scaring me off. I also appreciate that Capistrano Mazda isn't trying to roll the cost of trade ins into their new vehicle sales. Other dealers offered as much as $1000 with higher MSRPs on new cars. However, Katrina proved that she was interested in the most advantageous deal for me by suggesting CarMax (why hadn't I thought of that?). I drove there, got an offer for $2000, and I was now even closer to a new car.
With a few more quotes, and some e-mails from Moe Afzal, I was able to get a fantastic offer on an MX-5 Club with the Brembo/BBS package that was very, very good. Honestly, what clinched the deal, what made me decide that I wanted to visit Capistrano Mazda and Katrina, was the YouTube video she posted the next morning. A beautiful jet black MX-5 with the options I wanted as on the lot, and in the morning, I got a fantastic walk around with the car addressed to me. Even though making and posting a YouTube video isn't necessarily hard, it was definitely an interesting way to personalize the experience for me and far beyond what any other dealer had done. I appreciated it, and I was ready to go.
Throughout the entire process at the dealership, I was given space to discuss things with my partner, very clear breakdowns of the offer, and a friendly staff. I can't stress enough how important was to not have to be in the ridiculous "Let me go speak to my manager" back and forth and all of the silliness that entails. It was just such a positive, clear experience. I honestly felt that Katrina was my representative to the sales manager, and she was doing what she could do get me the best offer for me. Clearly, Capistrano Mazda was getting *something* out of the deal, but I really never felt like they were trying to extract whatever that was from me. They wanted to move a car for a competitive price.
I need to add here that Katrina was easily the most knowledgeable salesperson about the Mazda MX-5, and I think about Mazda's entire lineup in general. Too many times at these dealers, you get salespeople that are really just interested in their numbers and couldn't care any less whether they were selling sports cars or tractors. Katrina knew specifications, the difference between trim levels, where all of the storage locations were scattered throughout the car, the different color options, the design history...she really knew about it! Whether this comes from a genuine interest in the car or a genuine interest in the job, I don't know...but the information was there. There were dealers that had no idea about horsepower, why the car was designed the way it was...and yet still tried to sell me the car! Katrina not only knew, but was able to have a good discussion about the merits of the vehicle. I honestly didn't need anyone to "sell" it to me, but Katrina was a fantastic partner to talk about the car with. Her knowledge made it feel like I was talking to someone who cared, rather than someone who could be selling Fords or Mazdas, used Saturns or Ferraris.
I finally agreed to a fantastic deal, really, and everything moved quickly from there. The Finance Department (Paul Clark) was super fast, especially since I had my own financing. Nothing was pushed, no one tried to up-sell on a high interest rate loan or warranties. Of course, the warranty was offered (they wouldn't be doing their job if it hadn't been offered), but once it was turned down, it was all paperwork from there.
Also, what was really cool, is that Katrina, Moe, and the manager seemed just as excited as I was. Katrina took a selfie of all of us for herself, Moe seemed to be smiling (I know, I know, they just sold a car, but I can't imagine this was totally new, so I think they were seriously glad), and even the owner stopped by! Of course, I was a little distracted at that point, so I didn't really talk to him as much as I should have. Then it was time to go!
If you're looking for a new Mazda in Southern California, I think this is the place to go, and I hope that Katrina Brown is your salesperson! I couldn't recommend this place enough for taking a stressful experience and turning it into once where I felt like a winner. Thank you Capistrano Mazda, and thank you Katrina!
Excellent customer service - DR.ROTH
Ryan did an excellent job and provided excellent customer service as he has done with past visits to the dealership. ...I highly recommend the service dept
very smooth transaction - DAVID B HANCOCK
Was not pressured at all, still took 4 hours, but i felt comfortable, got what i wanted for my trade in, so far, very happy
GREAT EXPERIENCE - vjohilton
Using the dealership's web-site was able to determine a vehicle in the color and with the features we were looking for was available and we were given a quote. Made an appointment with salesman and test drove the vehicle requested along with a model with less features and a Sonata.. Based on the test drives we settled on the Elantra and were able to settle on a deal based on the quote received. After explanation we did purchase the paint and interior protection as part of the financing deal, but other than that the purchase process was straight forward an not very low pressure.
Great experience - tahn1286
Went in here with my research done on the exact car that I wanted (Mazda 3 5 door iSport with preferred equipment package). They contacted me about a good deal, and they definitely had the lowest prices in the area. There was a small hiccup regarding taxes before/after a rebate, but they honored the out the door price they quoted me before I came in.
Great experience - Leila
It was first time leasing a car and I had a great experience at Galpin Mazda. Philip Policarpio was really helpful and he made sure that I am getting the best deal possible. He is really friendly and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend him to my friends.
Fantastic experience - Kristi Cox
Dallas was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from the start, to the whole purchase experience. He heard what I was looking for in a vehicle and matched me with the perfect car and something that was in my budget. The entire dealership was friendly and answered all of the questions I had. Last, but not least, Mazda's are excellent cars, and I'm extremely happy with my choice to come in and purchase from this company of cars!

Buy all your cars here! - Pattie Wagner
I've never been loyal to a dealership until now. I purchased a new Mazda CX9 from Cole Chrysler a few years back and had a great experience. I serviced my vehicle through Matt in the service department and he rocks. He actually cares about my car.
Last year I bought a used Jeep Commander and I had some warranty work done. Matt went overboard to ensure everything was done correctly and efficiently. He went beyond what a normal employee would do for a customer.
As a result I have become a customer for life. If you want to deal with people who care as much about your car as you do, buy from Cole Chrysler. If you're ok with taking chances, visit another dealer.
Ask for Matt!
Read the fine print and ask questions!!!!!!! - nitrogen
My wife and I used the Costco Auto program for the first time. Great program I recommend it. We confirmed our appointment on Friday night for Saturday morning. We arrived at 9am, they had the car all prepped and ready to go a Black on Black 2016.5 CX5 GT with the Tech package, my wife loved it. The gentleman we were supposed to deal with was out sick that morning so we were dealing with Wes Akers. They actually matched another dealers quote. We were happy.
As the negotiation process went on my wife and I noticed that there was an increase of $1,500.00. I asked Wes why the increase "Wes stated it was the "Platinum package" which we did not choose or want. It consists of leather treatment for the seats, etched VIN number on the doors (it's a label) and nitrogen air in the tires....yes nitrogen air, all this for $1,500.00 more. This really got me upset. I said I don't want that car find me another one without the treated seats and nitrogen Air and labels on the doors. Wes said that all there cars are prepped that way and he could not do anything about that. My wife and I got up and walked out. I asked Wes one question before we left and to be honest with me....Wes "Do I need this" his response "No you don't" then why are you trying to sell me something I don't need or want...he could not answer that.
As we were walking out they were having a BBQ out side. It's was already noon so my wife and I ate lunch and headed towards the other dealer. Before I could back out of there parking lot Ralph Deaguilar came out to my car tapped on my window and asked me what the problem was as if he did not know. He said "If he I can get the Platinum package for $700.00 would I take it, I said no but I did tell him go back in side and if you can get it for $500.00 then I would....he came out and said he couldn't....what a surprise....honestly I was never going to get it.
I will not mention the other salesperson because she had no control on this sale....she was great kind and courteous she brought my wife some tea. Wish we had made the sale with her.
Puente Hills Mazda was the first dealer I ever purchased a car from this was mentioned yet it didn't even mean anything....you are just a sale. If they ask me to show them my contract from my first car I will because I still have it and that was 30 years ago.
My opinion of this dealership is our experience only I would recommend this dealer but read the fine print fine print and ask questions.
Easy experience - triciagl
Easy experience, no bargaining games. Mike and Justin were very friendly and accommodating to my request to make it a quick visit. Would come back again.
One word: Easy - BRebiskie
This was my second new car purchase in my life, and this couldn't have been any easier. I worked with Ed, he was able to find me a car that fit into my budget, and also with all the features that I wanted. When I told Ed I would be unable to make it in to sign the paperwork, he had a salesperson drop the car off to my doorstep! Over 70 miles away! What a great experience, I couldn't be happier.
Thank you - samuell9477
Thank you for the opportunity to express my appreciation for such a fine dealership as Neftin. I also want to express my appreciation for my service rep John Garcia, Mark Gupton, and the entire office staff. It is a pleasure doing business with you.
Gary Gottloeb is highly recommended! - mark k
I bought a new Mazda 3 from Gary Gottloeb at Putnam Mazda in Burlingame, and it was an altogether positive experience. Gary is personable and honest, and genuinely takes pleasure in serving his customers well. I solicited several dealer bids, and Gary's was the most competitive. He answered all of our questions, provided information in a clear manner, and did not push options or upgrades on us. The process was smooth and straightforward. After we completed the deal, Gary walked us through the car's features, and he was truly excited for us. We drove the car home and have been enjoying it immensely. I highly recommend Gary Gottloeb to anyone looking to purchase a Mazda.
I need more stars! - ALO415
Why are there only five stars?! I need more!
I have to say that this was one of the best car experiences I've had. I went to the dealership looking at the VW SUVs and with the help of James Jamous, I am ready to roll. He was awesome, very knowledgeable, and made sure that I was feeling good about the lease we set up. I would highly recommend this dealership and commend them for making this customer very happy.

Good management and Service folks - Vasu N
I bought a car here 6 months ago.
Was generally a good experience.
Recently called the dealership about some recall I heard about, in the news.
I had some problem with the person answering the phone.
I was a little miffed. Registered a complaint with the manager.
They called me back next day. Apparently, they reviewed the tape also.
They went the extra distance to take care of the issue AND bent over backwards to accommodate my servicing needs.
That surprised me because I expected the dealer to shrug their shoulders and say "things happen".
But these guys surprised me very pleasantly.
Got to say, my faith is restored - there are good people and decent dealers!
Go to Jonathan - M.J.M.
Go to Jonathan. He made it happen for us. Got us what we wanted for the price we wanted. He is a good guy! Will definitely recommend him.
Hassle free and amazing - Jamminbg
Huge thanks to Royal my salesman. He made the entire experience seem less, easy and my entire family thanks him very kindly. If your looking for a car ask for Royal he will take care of you.
Service and Parts - Steve Schuller
I bought a 2016 MX5 Miata from this dealer. The convertible top failed within days. My car has been into Tracy Mazda's service dept for repair three times and is not repaired. Do I need say any more of their customer service?
Service Dept - Bshockley
Service Department is always on time and does quality work. I have been going there since the beginning and look forward to maintaining my vehicle at this dealership. When I am ready to purchase a new Mazda I will go to this dealership first!
Great buying experience with Fred! - jayc_1
I just bought a Mazda CX-5 from Fred and Bob Baker after one month of looking around. I am picky and haggle a lot. I started my search at Escondido, but they provided no follow-up and it really felt like they didn't want to fight for my business. Fred on the other hand was very, very responsive on email and very honest (even suggesting waiting a week for upcoming discounts which ended up saving me $750 more!). He endured about 3 weeks of emails and back and forths from myself. Even the finance and docs aspects was easy and non-pushy. Fred really went above and beyond for me when one of the Mazda Corp discounts wasn't coming through. It was clear he wanted to be sure I was covered. Oh, and they beat Escondido Mazda pricing by around $2k!
Service repair Accusations. - Esco24
This morning I brought my 2014 Ford Focus that was just purchased used in May, for the front air dam hanging under front axle. Immediately I was told I hit something and this was not a defective part. I explained to them how all the holes were intact and the clips and bolts were all missing 5 in total, of course they started pointing out scrapes and scratches that were obvious to everyday driving, mind you I bought this car used from here and I was probably a dealer loaner. So now it's 2:00 and my car is still I sitting in service driveway and everyone in service hsad continued to ignore me and my issue. Great job PSFord service manager Brain another dissatisfied customer you have gained your record is outstanding in the complaint department.
Used Car Purchase Went Great - UC Guy
I have shopped at Razzari Ford a number of times and have always had a good experience with their sales team. This past Friday is the first time I purchased a car from them. It was a used Honda with very high miles, but I got a good price and am very happy with the experience (kudos to David and Omar for helping me out). They let me to take it to my local mechanic for a once-over before purchasing it, and their service department corrected the couple of issues the mechanic uncovered (the brake rotors needed some work). A couple of days after bringing it home, there was another issue and I took it back and was treated fairly. I see they get some mixed reviews on Yelp, but I can tell you that my experience with them was great and I plan on giving them the first shot on my next new or used vehicle.
