I had an excellent experience at Fairfield Subaru buying a new 2026 Subaru in March 2026. From start to finish, every interaction I had was professional, sincere, upfront, and without sleazy pressure (a welcome change from many of the interactions I had with sales staff at other dealers as I was deciding which brand and model best fit my needs). As I'm a bit far from the dealership, most of my interactions were by phone and email. Once we had settled on a price (better than any other I was offered locally), everything on the day of sale was handled in the same manner, including picking me up at the nearby transportation hub. In particular, I'd like to thank my salesperson Kyler Schawb. Great job, Fairfield!

Overall experience was good. Sales reps knew their stuff and were polite, friendly, and professional. Only negative was information flow between various departments. Specifically having to repeatedly list all accessories for each person along the chain from sales to more supervisor to finance to contract. Somehow, my name was spelled correctly on most paperwork, but a typo in some others. All corrected quickly, though, with sincere apologies from staff.

The service is great. The environment is relaxing and stress free with a very helpful and friendly sales and service staff. I was unfortunate to have some car issues which were not easy to fix in one visit. The service department did not neglect the problem, but continued to work to solve the problem by following up with me to come back to make sure the issue was resolved. Hats off to Laura Flannigan for getting different service techs including Subaru engaged in resolution of the issue.

Filled out an inquiry form online for a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek and was contacted (via text) within an hour to set-up a test drive first thing Saturday morning. Once I arrived, they had already pulled the vehicle to the front of lot and started the test drive within 15 minutes of arriving. I inquired if they had the same vehicle but in a different color which they did but at the off-site lot. 20 minutes later, they both vehicles side-by-side, made my decision and first offer in hand within an hour of arriving. It took about an hour of back and forth on the terms and options until we both agreed on a contract. I was honestly in and out within 3.5 hours on an extremely busy end of the month sales push weekend. Tarik and Miguel were extremely personable and made the process painless, seeing the last time I bought a car was in 2015. One thing to note, the first offer was the blanket APR of 9.99% which was a bit insulting. I had filled out the credit application online before arriving thinking they would have completed this step before giving me an offer. I had to request my credit to be ran to get a significantly lower APR. This was honestly the only "bad" experience in which I felt like they were trying to trick me into signing a "bad" contract. Tarik and Miguel were not apart of this transaction.

After a very disappointing experience at another Subaru dealership, visiting Subaru Santa Monica turned out to be a completely different story. From the moment I arrived the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. While waiting for my service I walked through the showroom and was greeted right away by a friendly salesperson with a genuine smile and no pressure at all. My service advisor Kevin was calm, polite and very professional. When we discussed the engine air filter, he checked the condition and explained that based on how it looked it could wait a little longer and suggested replacing it during a future visit. I appreciated that honest and practical approach. The whole visit felt easy, respectful and customer-focused. While I was there I also noticed a new Subaru model in bright yellow — amazing shape and color. After driving my red one for a few years, I suddenly thought that maybe my next lease should be yellow. Thank you Kevin for the professional and courteous service. Experiences like this are exactly what make customers want to come back.

I've had brand loyalty to Subaru for over 30 years. Because of Rick Dennis (my sales associate this week), I also now have brand loyalty to Kirby Subaru. Rick knew the cars-- he spent (literally) hours with me, I had to go home and bring my instrument to make sure it would fit...he helped with that, he stayed VERY late to deliver the car---always with patience and kindness. He handled the negotiations in a way that felt like he was representing both me AND the dealership--no small feat! His manners were impeccable----and as a female consumer, I felt respected and understood at all times. I hope that Rick Dennis is still at Kirby when I buy my next Subaru!

I had a great experience purchasing a new Subaru Legacy at Subaru of Thousand Oaks. The purchase was facilitated by two outstanding sales people: Mathias and Leena. Mathias corresponded with me to let me know when the car I was interested in came in. Leena demonstrated most aspects of the car in great detail during the test drive with great patience and sweetness. Both Mathias and Leena were very knowledgeable, pleasant, sharp and not pushy (which is very rare among car sales people). I was made to feel very comfortable during the whole process and treated with respect. I live all the way in West LA and they drove the car to my house that same evening, so I did not have to leave my Honda behind in Thousand Oaks. They later followed up to ensure satisfaction. Kudos as well to Rodrigo who authorized the deal and to Jose Magana, the Manager who stepped in to prevent a glitch. This is the type of service you seldom find as a woman buying a car. I recommend them most highly.
