My two year relationship at Don Thornton VW service &parts. - Mitch
Let me start out by saying that I do not trust many dealerships. I usually prefer a local garage if I can’t fix something. I own three VW turbo diesel vehicles. Over the last two years I have developed a relationship with the service department that is very important to me. John the service manager and Matt the lead tech have more than earned my respect and trust. My early experience at don thorton led me to believe I was being lied to. I was not happy. After all nothing is cheap about a VW repair where ever you go. The service manager and the lead tech Matt took me back to the car and proved their case. Contrary to my impression They had gone out of their way to make my situation work! Then given the entirety of the information I realized the type of folks I was working with. Just hard working, honest, customer oriented service professionals. I not only was was happy but I return again and again. John is an excellent service manager. Who’s views on customer service is what I think we all wish everyone’s was.
I once had traveled out of town in a remote area and after a VW of America upgrade caused a fault in the system Doss from service and a tech on a Saturday helped me to figure out what was going on and how to compensate for it. They didn’t have to do that. Some may say they shouldn’t have but my wife and young kids sure appreciated it.
I love my VW TDI’s and John let me know on one of my service visits they were fixing the TDI emissions buy back cars and they were for sale again. I bought another VW TDI I. January.
I have had great experience with parts, service and sales but if were not for John, Curtis, Doss, of service I would never have given sales or parts the chance.
