My daughter and I went to Chapman Ford to look for a new vehicle for her. This was her first time buying a car on her own so it was a big deal. We dealt with Derek Zimmerman who was absolutely wonderful! He seemed to genuinely care about getting her into something she could afford and more importantly, something I felt was safe for her. He spent quite a bit of time with us but we never felt rushed. If anyone is looking for a car I would definitely suggest going to see Derek. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about all the vehicles we looked at. He's not like most dealers who are just trying to make a sale. He went out of his way to make sure that my daughter had a wonderful first car buying experience! We will definitely go back there when it's my turn to get a new car !

I received notice in the mail that there were some recalls on my car and I needed to bring it to a dealership to be fixed. Since I just recently moved to PA, I wasn't sure what Volkswagen dealership to use...so like most people I looked on the internet to find the closest one to my house and then crossed my fingers that they were good. From the very beginning, contacting the service department, to the very end, picking up my vehicle, they were fantastic. Very nice, helpful, thorough, easy to work with.

Copied from my VW satisfaction survey: I cannot praise enough Volkswagen State College’s Sales Manager, Mike McKay and the first class operation he helps run. I felt like I was dealing with friends through the entire process of buying my 2017 Passat SE with Technology Package. I had been negotiating with several dealerships in PA, but Mike single handedly earned my business with his prompt and honest responses, as well as his genuine and charismatic personality. They had my paper work ready in no time and Audi Finance Manager, Ellen Fryer, walked me through all of my options and she gladly clarified anything I was unsure of. Ellen also explained and sold me on the extended warranties/protection plans without being aggressive or using misleading tactics like I've encountered at other dealerships. As an outbound call center manager I understand, appreciate, and admire ethical customer service while remaining a successful sales organization in industries where a few bad people have made an overall negative reputation for the good companies like us. I was offered a fair price without having to haggle or worry there were going to be hidden fees, Mike was upfront and honest while disclosing everything I needed to know before I even walked in the door. There was never any pressure to buy, and my time and concerns were always respected and addressed immediately. The whole experience from beginning to end was seamless, painless, and completely enjoyable. I purchased a 2013 VW Jetta from J. Bertolet and have been thrilled with the service and integrity of everyone at the dealership. I live in the Reading area, and whenever the car needs its mileage service, John arranges a convenient time to pick up my car to take to the dealership and lends me his car for the day. As with all cars, something inevitably will go wrong. You can trust the people at J. Bertolet. The service technician sent me a video of the problem, discussed several options, and I felt confident that the repair would be done in a cost effective and efficient way. He even suggested I call VW headquarters and ask them to reimburse me for the repairs - which they did - a complete reimbursement for parts and labor! I am so happy to do business with people who are not only invested in the product they sell, but more importantly, are invested in the people and community they serve.

2017 Golf Alltrack purchase - Chris Groves
I contacted the dealership by phone since they had a rare 6 speed manual 2017 Golf Alltrack in stock. Jordan took the car and sheparded me thru a very easy purchase of this car. I took Amtrak down from Boston and Jordan was waiting for me when I emerged from the Wilmington RR station. A quick 10 minutes ride over the the dealership and a very smooth transaction followed by 10 minutes of how all the controls and features work and then I was on my way back up to Boston. Painless and very professional.

Total ignorance toward customer service - Sad customer
We picked a vehicle, shook on a deal and agreed that our trade in would be picked up from our house within a day or so. (Not running but they were well aware of that) Well it's two weeks later and no one will deal with us and or answer our calls. They have our money and they don't care about us anymore. We get the run around and we have an uninsured vehicle in our driveway that has the title signed over to the dealership and they won't pick it up. They won't even respond to our calls. Terrible service. Keep shopping. Go sownehere else. God forbid we had a problem with our vehicle.

Volkswagen Piazza in Ardmore
The myth of Volkswagen Tiguan.
We purchased a 2009 Tiguan.
Two years ago in 2015 with about 25,000 miles on the car the engine broke and we were told by Piazza Volkswagen that we need a new engine. (engine that should last 500k mile) No explanation was provided to us why the engine failed after only 6 years and 25K.
The Dealer was interested in the money and not in serving the customer and no one is qualified there to explain. The new engine cost us $8,000.
Two weeks ago, I found that the Tiguan floor was flooded with 3" water. After pumping the water out, I took the car again to the same dealership at Piazza VW Ardmore. The diagnostic was a "broken roof drain hose". The water inside the water damaged electronic and that it is located under the seats I was told. The cost of repair is in the thousands. (The exact is unknown to me)
The hose is not a mechanical part and it doesn't move; it should last for the life of the car. It’s definitely a faulty part.
I wonder if other Tiguan owners experience the same problems.
I am reluctant to pay for that faulty part repair expecting the dealership take responsibility. (Knowing that the actual dealer cost is pennies on the dollar)
The dealership’s answer was “if you don’t pay by the end of the week we will declare the car as abandoned”.
Consumers and the Consumer Report should know about the problem with Tiguan.
GREAT EXPERIENCE AT FRED BEANS DEVON - donna
Just purchased a new VW from Anthony Law at Fred Beans (Devon, PA). Everything done via the internet - this was the easiest purchase I have ever done! I had shopped several dealers here in N.J. and Anthony gave me the best price right from the beginning with no haggling. He was extremely professional and I knew ALL COSTS ahead of time via the buyers order that was emailed to me. (Buyers do need to be cautious as quotes will ALWAYS contain every rebate available. Be an INFORMED BUYER and ask lots of questions!) No high pressure. Sarah was extremely through and made the vehicle pick-up fast & pleasant. Couldn't have been more pleased with the purchase of my 2017 Passat SEL PREMIUM. (And YES ~ I'm a loyal VW owner. Turning in my 2012 Passat diesel, but sticking with the Passat as it's a great car and I really love it.)

Found the car I wanted, had to call them 3 times to get them to email the pics since I lived 70 miles away. Called back the next day and the car was sold. Won't be shopping here ever again.
