Audi A5 - bcrafton
We went in knowing what car we were looking for and what our budget was. Had a bit of a rocky encounter the first time we visited while negotiating price, manager was a little rude and that kind of put us off,(we almost didn't come back just based in his attitude) sales went above and beyond to try and help. We really loved the car so we returned about a week later. Walked in and gave them a price we were willing to pay and they accepted. They didn't pressure us to finance as we stated we had set ours up privately before shopping. Worked with another sales man prior to purchase, who resigned before we decided on the car. Madison took over once we returned and he did a great job, and continued great service during follow up. He was quick and efficient and made sure we had the car detailed and filled up before we left. Great attitude, and was a pleasure to work with.

A very pleasant process - Silver18
After contacting the dealership about looking to test-drive some different models, I had a great experience working with Jay Wilson. He was very informative on the various models and packages available and never badgered us or made us feel pressured (unlike other area dealers). We ended up test driving a number of different models and Jay was timely thereafter in helping us choose which financing plan was going to be a good fit for us. Once we finally decided on a model and package, Larry Chabert was very helpful in taking us through the necessary paperwork and provided a wealth of knowledge
I can only give 5 stars?!? - Nessy
This will be the 4th car I have purchased in the past 5 yrs. This past visit with the help of Jeff Wallis and Matt Soler was easily the best experience I have had in the past 5 yrs. If you know what you want'/ or you are looking for something new Matt is your guy! He knows his stuff! I came in with a relatively vague idea of what I wanted and right away he had 4 cars for me to give a go. When I found the PERFECT car Jeff Wallis helped me through the numbers and made it a totally doable painless process.
I refer all my patients to this dealership!
Purchased 2 used vehicles - mmonte5

I recently purchased a Golf R from Lewisville Volkswagen and could not have been more impressed with the overall experience from start to finish. Landon Beck and Joe Downs were an absolute pleasure to work with and made the process easy and enjoyable. Customer service was beyond amazing! If you are looking to get a Volkswagen in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area do yourself a favor and check them out.

Excellent customer service - Karencary1019
I will never take my car anywhere else. These people are friendly, knowledgeable...even called me the next day to make sure everything was fine...AFTER AN OIL CHANGE. Vacuumed my car, washed it...it is well worth the hour drive!
Horrible service!!! Bunch of liars!!! - Galicia
I purchased a brand new car, the car was supposed to come with some accessories. The managers claimed they would called me back to fix the issue, they never did!!!!! They even hunged up on me once. The General manager still hasn't called me back. At this point I wished I would never purchased from Automax... Round Rock location is way better!!!! I wished I would of gone there.
Terrible service dept. - Stephen Loub
Brought my wife's Golf in for an oil change and inspection. I have a Honda and bring it to McDavid in frisco. The difference in these two places is night and day stark! Nobody greets you at Hendricks, you have to go find someone which is next to impossible! FINALLY someone told me to pull up to the bay which was blocked by other cars, I waited out there for 20 minutes while absolutely nothing happened. Finally I turned around, and left....for good! I highly recommend David Mcdavid in Frisco, but this Hendrick VW absolutely sucks!
very frustrated, sensless appointment system - jce123
I would have given this dealership 0 stars if I could. We had made an appointment to see a vehicle later on the same day when we called. The salesman asked if I wanted to set up an appointment to see the car and he would have it ready for us to test drive. However, upon arrival we'd found out that the vehicle we were interested in was sold. As we walked in at the appointed time after having driven for almost an hour through Houston rush hour traffic, Joey started rummaging through the papers on his desk and telling us that he "was just looking up our information" to give us a phone call about what happened. To our question why the car was sold if he had customers, meaning us, coming by appointment to see it, he said that he was truly sorry, as he was.And that this had happened before...We did not know what to say to that. They make appointments, but it really does not mean that the vehicle he/she has made an appointment to see will be there. I guess appointments don't really mean anything and sounds like this is their common practice at this dealership...What sense does this make? Of course, the manager said he was also really sorry and offered help with finding similar vehicle; however, at the end, he did not even asked for our names or contact information. None of them did... We were very frustrated, as we wasted our entire evening in traffic to and from the dealership only to find out that no one really cared about their customers. And worst of all that they really don't care. Apologies without actions mean nothing. Make an appointment if you can elsewhere, who knows maybe they will have your car ready and waiting. Pass on these guys.
Excellence - David C
Terri our sales woman was the best at what she does. She went over and beyond our expectations. She worked with us to get the vehicle we wanted and for that we are greatful. Rodney the financial personal was also very helpful informing us of all the different type of options we had and so forth. Overall our experience was AWESOME.

Expensive, but they do quality work provided that you can afford it. May want to get estimates elsewhere especially with regard to parts, before proceeding with any repairs here.
Best auto purchase..... EVER..!!!!! - D Branham
My wife and I drove cross town to see a GLI Archer had in stock and to see what kind of an offer they could make us for our trade. We were met at the door by Kirk who was very welcoming and extremely patient with us while we had to call our insurance company to have an insurance card faxed in. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and you could tell that their staff was very close knit - just a different vibe entirely.
The very first offer they made us was equal to the best offer we received the day before at another dealer after an hour and a half of haggling.... My wife is extremely conservative and responsible which naturally makes her a tough sale and always inclined to "walk"; but, Patrick was determined to make us an offer that would "knock your socks off" and make your "can't do it yet" into "I can't leave without it" and he did.
Every person we dealt with was extremely courteous, friendly and you could tell enjoy what they do. Jeremy explained that MANY of their staff have worked for Mr. Archer for 10 years or more and it shows. I love buying from a family owned business rather than a huge corporation - that still means something to me.
In my almost 40 years of driving, I've purchased numerous cars; but, yesterday's experience was the easiest, least stressful and most fun auto purchasing experience of my life. I could not possibly recommend a dealership more highly and if you don't give Archer a chance on your next purchase you will be doing yourself a disservice.
C'Mon in and see if you you can out bang me on the gong after you buy...!!! I doubt it. :-)!
Service Dept fees are excessive!!! dishonest service advisor - Pissed Consumer
If I could give them a 0 I would! I have paid this year alone over $5000.00 in repairs and the year isn't over yet. They charge you for shop towels and always charge the maximum for Labor. The tell you the diagnostics will be waived if you do the repairs with this dealership. When you look at the summary the diagnostics is listed as Labor ( deceit) I will never buy another VW and I bought 2 of them. Buy American !!! These service advisors are crooks! There used vehicles are trashed!! They brake down so often and there are not many places you can take a VW to be repaired.
Ruben Rosales: The man to work with! - ozocuto
Ruben helped us get out of a bad car and into a good one SEAMLESSLY! His attention to our needs and our previous negative experience at another dealership made us feel understood. Ruben was patient and worked with us through our scenarios (purchasing vs. leasing) and gave us the space we needed to make our decision. Many thanks Ruben!!!
Clay Cooley Has No Dealer Adds...Really - Asimson
I shopped around at a few dealers and am happy to say Clay Cooley legitimately had no dealer adds on their vehicles...They didnt tell me HAD to buy nitrogen in my tires...window tint and all the other stuff people try to make you pay for. I had a great experience and would do it again in a heartbeat
"Internet Sales" is a Ploy - sburton
TLDR: Never buy a car from Ancira Volkswagen.
I was referred to Ancira by a friend - he's now embarrassed to have made the recommendation and I now know which dealership in San Antonio never to do business with.
I requested information online about a vehicle I saw on Ancira's website and was referred to the "internet sales" team. The experience started out really pleasant. Internet Sales Manager, Emily, was responsive and friendly. I told her I lived several hours away and that if we could come to a verbal agreement, I'd happily drive the distance and purchase the car. She advised me to submit a credit application that same morning, which I did. She then referred me to one of her "top salespeople", Julian, and all seemed on track. From there, however, the process fell off the rails.
For the next three days, there must have been an internal struggle among the managers as to what to do with me. Their tactic, like all old-school car dealers is to bring you in, get you emotionally attached, and then pressure you to buy. I was outside-the-box in that they actually had to process an "internet sale" (why have an internet sales department if you can't process an internet sale?!), so clearly they weren't sure how to handle my situation. And in their defense, I'm sure they were worried I'd "shop" their price, but if they're so confident with their prices this shouldn't be a worry!
So for three days they held on to my social security number and all my personal financial information, all without telling me anything. They kept asking the same questions over and over, making excuses about "being really busy" or needing to "hear back from their manager", all without simply quoting me a lease payment - something online dealers like Carvana do in 60 seconds.
Eventually, I'd had enough - after three days you can't give me a simple answer? So I emailed Julian, copied the internet sales team, and respectively requested a conclusion to the matter asap.
And what did they do? After another "I need to talk to my sales manager" excuse, they came back with a low-ball offer on my trade ($3,000 less than the car valuation tool on their very own website) with the caveat that if I came in for a visit they would "likely" offer me what I was asking for my trade. And guess what their response was when I asked how much my lease payment would be without the trade? "My sales manager doesn't think a lease would be a good idea in this case". Haha... what a joke.
After wasting, now four days, of my time and turning over all of my financial information without even the courtesy of giving me a good faith quote, I now know to never buy a car at Ancira Volkswagen.

Horrible service - Dena F
On Saturday, I brought my VW Eos w/less than 50K miles in for basic maintenance and got a call that they found several major repairs needed totally $3600. After my shock and horror, I was told it would be ready on Monday. I called Monday around 4:00 to see if it was ready. I was told it was still being worked on but it would be ready later. I asked for a time and was put on hold. A couple minutes later, the service rep said actually they didn't even have the parts for it and it would be Tuesday. So not only does my car w/less than 50K miles need major repairs (in addition to a $1500 water pump replacement earlier in the year), but I'm told my car would be ready until I pushed for a time and the service rep has no clue the actual status of my car and didn't think to call to keep me updated. I not only will never buy a VW again, I will never take my car back to this dealership. I'll be driving straight to the Honda dealer for a trade in.
Friendly and helpful...!! - kkr123
I have been helping my daughter look for a new car. The people here where extremely friendly and helpful. Although we are not ready to purchase today, we will be buying from West Houston Volkswagen.
This is my 2nd Vehicle Purchased from this Dealership - HappyCustomer
I have been dealing with this organization since 2011. Not only was the buying experience excellent but the service has been the best experience for me so far. From the salesman to the parts store, every employee is helpful - whether it is buying, maintaining or servicing a vehicle. I purchased a new car in 2011. I passed that vehicle down to my child and purchased a new one for myself. They treated my child like she was a brand new customer that purchased a vehicle and showed her the dealership and all the options in her vehicle. By far the best dealership experience that I have had purchasing or servicing my vehicles.
Great experience - Edgar27
Went in looking for a new Jetta. Jasmine was a huge help, she wasn't pushy what so ever. I was looking for a Manual transmission which aren't very popular so they're not exactly easy to find. She was able to locate one and did everything to make the delivery as smooth as possible.
