Started shopping for a new vehicle in 2021. Doug always kept in touch as I was shopping around. Came back for a purchase in 2022 because of Bennett's great deal on a new ZR2. Thanks! I had leased my Equinox 3 years ago with Rebecca Regii's assistance and was very pleased with the service provided then. I decided to buy the car when my lease recently ended and once again received great assistance and was very pleased with the service provided then. I decided to buy the car when my lease recently ended and once again received great service from Rebecca with this transition. She assisted with all of the paperwork and necessary calls making the process very easy with only one visit. A return trip will only be necessary to pick up my new tags. Thank you, Rebecca- I definitely give you a 5-star rating. More
Probably would be giving a 5-star review due to my experience with Doug Huggard, but I feel taken advantage of and even worse because in reality it was my failure. I would recommend Bennett, but with experience with Doug Huggard, but I feel taken advantage of and even worse because in reality it was my failure. I would recommend Bennett, but with the warning of Do NOT get taken advantage of and do not make any decisions until you truly understand and take the time to ASK QUESTIONS, ask the “whys” and do your figures. Anything that seems to good to be true is first of all. Do not go into a deal, in purchasing a used vehicle, where they are trying to say the suggested sales price is that of a new MSRP. No one goes into a dealership and pays sticker price and everybody knows that! Well, apparently I did and paid more than, however slight. As a sales person, Doug was great. He showed us what we were interested in, answered any questions and was knowledgeable about the vehicle we were looking at. Not happy with the pricing and the way gone about it. I know, live and learn and it seems I got burned on this one. Sticker price, for a used 2018 Tahoe LS with 38,000 (no bells and whistles) they had as $51,000 (did not seem it was necessary to add the additional costs they said was for the work they did on it when it came in to their lot). Therefore, we raise the sticker cost in the window to $53,000, again, for a used Tahoe LS. Really? Hmmm…They were giving $8,000 for any car that you drove onto the lot, but in reality they really weren’t. By raising the cost of the sales price on the sticker, they want it to look like they are giving you that, sounds good, but I knew better and let that go really because when we deducted the $8,000, from the $51,000 that was on the sticker in the car when I got there, it brought the sales price closer to what the sticker should have read, given it was used, the mileage was average for that year vehicle and the features the vehicle has(just basic). Now, we are looking at a vehicle cost of $43,000(what I was thinking from the time I was shown the sticker price when we first went over to the vehicle and we’re looking at it). Ok, they gave me an “additional” 2,000 for my trade. Well, not really additional, that is what they gave me in total for my trade. I should have picked it up at that moment but you are shown things very quickly and you know it is coming down to a bottom line, so you try to absorb everything and think everyone is being fair. Anyway, this was a pretty good deal, so I thought, until I actually received the loan papers and saw the sale price of the vehicle was at $45,492…one of my questions to them was how is that the cost if the sticker said $51,000? Well, I was told they didn’t add the cost of the work they did to the vehicle when they received it, in order for them to put for sale on the lot. Oh, ok…well, why wouldn’t you have added that on the cost when it was put out for sale on the lot? I called, after I had went back in with the remainder of my down payment, and was able to look at my sales papers and was not happy at all. Saw they gave me only $2,000 for my trade-in! Worth more than that for sure! They wanted to keep telling me they gave me $10,000, umm, no you didn’t. Its definitely not worth $10,000, I know this much as well. I put down $8,500, paying for tax and tags…so in reality they received $10,500 towards this vehicle. I know they have to make money, and there are ways they do the paperwork to hide what they are actually making on that particular vehicle, but really, they made out so good with me on this one. I know it is my fault for not putting more time into thinking about the transaction and putting it all together until receiving the sales papers in hand, but until actually having them, and being able to look at them I didn’t realize. Again, live and learn. There was a possible, leak around the back window of the car. I spoke with Doug and Mark about this and will be bringing the car back in to be looked at in a few days. Hopefully any repairs, if needed, go well. Will update once we find out. Happy car shopping everyone :) More
