Bill Utter Jr. was 14 when he started working at Bill Utter Ford. With his new driver's license, Bill began delivering parts for the family dealership. Bill and Virginia Utter opened the doors to their new Ford dealership in 1956 in downtown Denton. It was the beginning of a family tradition of offering the best Ford products and services to North Texas families.
In the early days, they were simply concerned with making ends meet from day to day and treating each customer with courtesy and respect, as they would any friend. Many of those customers became lifelong friends, and the business grew from one referral to another to serve generations. I purchased my truck from this dealership on April 11, 2026, and as of July 31, 2026, I still have not received my registration sticker. In early June, I called to ask about the delay and was told the 2026, and as of July 31, 2026, I still have not received my registration sticker. In early June, I called to ask about the delay and was told the dealership was still waiting on the out-of-state title and that it should only take a few more weeks. Nearly two months later, I called again and was told by the CFO, Yolanda, that they still do not have the title. During that conversation, I asked several reasonable questions: * Did the dealership have the legal ability to sell me the truck without having the title? Her response was, “I’m not sure.” * What am I supposed to do if I’m pulled over for not having a current registration sticker? Again, “I’m not sure.” * If I decided to pay off my loan today, would there even be a title available? Her response was, “Correct, that would be a problem.” Because I wasn’t getting answers over the phone, I went to the dealership in person and asked for documentation showing that the out-of-state title had been requested. They were unable to provide any proof. At this point, I have an $80,000 truck that I cannot properly register, there is no clear timeline for resolving the issue, and no one at the dealership has been able to provide meaningful answers or documentation. The lack of communication, accountability, and transparency has been extremely disappointing. I understand that title delays can happen, but after more than three months, I expected honest communication, documentation showing progress, and a clear plan for resolving the issue. I found a used 2024 GMC Sierra Denali 2500HD on their website and called the next day and spoke to Casey. He promptly got off the phone with me to go check the lot and make sure it was still available. H website and called the next day and spoke to Casey. I told him I would see him around noon. My girlfriend and our kids were with us, and when we arrived, we were starving. I asked Casey if I could get a plate and give him a copy of my license and, of course, leave him my Vette, and we could take it to get lunch. He said not a problem. When we returned, is when Casey really shined. He was very good at making sure we were comfortable and had water. He was also very good and interactive with the kids. He got to work on my deal but always checking to make sure we had something to drink or if we needed anything. There were some minor issues with the truck that Casey immediately got figured out, and the whole experience was 2-3 hours long. One of my best and fastest experiences at a dealership yet. Thanks again Casey and keep up the good work. The fact that you were good with the kids speaks volumes. We appreciate that. More
