EDITED: So when I took my car to get inspected, it would have failed without getting the cabin filter replaced. It was also recommended to get another filter replaced. I did both and then contacted Bourne’s have failed without getting the cabin filter replaced. It was also recommended to get another filter replaced. I did both and then contacted Bourne’s as both David and Shawn told me that if the car had any issues passing inspection, the dealership would take responsibility for those issues. I asked if I could get refunded for at least the cost of the cabins air filter. I heard back from David who said he would look into it. After no reason as for a week, I emailed to follow up and received an email back telling me to “be patient”, with other non-helpful information and no answer either way. Another week went by so I emailed again. And now, more than two weeks after the inspection, I still don’t have an answer to this. I would like to say I will recommend Bourne’s but I will not. The reason being: poor communication and lack of customer service after the sale is finalized. I honestly wouldn’t have cared if the answer was yes or no, I simply wanted an answer. I still think the price of the car was fine. And the sales process was fine. But the commitment to stick to what they offer is lacking and communication is lacking. And also, telling a customer to “be patient” when they are sending a follow up request for information after you haven’t communicated with them AT ALL for a week is very bad form. More
I was very skeptical of used car dealers being in the auto business on the service end for many years until I took a chance with Bourne's auto center, boy was I elated when a young sales person named Gre auto business on the service end for many years until I took a chance with Bourne's auto center, boy was I elated when a young sales person named Greg Cummings approached me with no pressure attitude and asked if he could help me, I told him I had seen a vehicle online that I was interested in, he had the vehicle ready for me to look over as I had called and told him I was coming to check it out. Much to my surprise I ended up buying it on the spot. there were a few requests that I had made that he honored regarding some repairs that id like taken care of, when I picked up the vehicle after everything was done , the salesman, Greg, said if I have any problems in the future, that it was under warranty for a period of time and left with my newer vehicle a pleased person. but, that's not the end, a short time had passed and I had a minor development and the sales dept. advised me to make an appointment with the service dept. and I thought to myself , oh great now it's going to cost me something. I made the appointment with service and went over a few things that I wasn't sure how they operated and if they were even working properly, they took me right in and I waited comfortably while they inspected the problem, much to my amazement they answered all my questions and managed my concern about whether I would be charged for the repairs, well, I wasn't and not only that but I returned about 2 more times for different reasons one of which I would have to leave my vehicle for a day or so, and I did, I had a comparable rental, at no charge ,waiting for me to use in lieu of my transportation shortage to and fro, they even took care of some issues that by other means would not have been covered under warranty, the service person that took care of all my needs and walked me through any concerns and questions that I had was Mike Bethoney, WOW, he is an asset to the company, a real down-to-earth man that took his time and gave me all of it as long as it took. So, needless to say I've been converted from my insecurities to a believer in the used car sales/service experience thanks to Bourne's Auto Center in So. Easton ,Ma. This place made me feel so special like I just bought a brand new Ferrari, I am very grateful to all the employees that went above and beyond their call of duty to accommodate me and I highly recommend Bourne's auto center in So. Easton to any person that needs or wants a great value vehicle with honorable people to work with and trust, plus a good warranty. Special thanks to Greg and Mike Bethoney for all you do. A+++ More
