So Nice Until You Sign on the Dotted Line Purchased my 2nd car from Byers. I purchased a certified 2016 Highlander and on the way home noticed that the engine sounded loud. I have had 9 othe Purchased my 2nd car from Byers. I purchased a certified 2016 Highlander and on the way home noticed that the engine sounded loud. I have had 9 other Toyotas in my lifetime and have another 2016 Highlander at home. I reached out to my salesman to express my unhappiness with the sound of the engine. He said they would look at it. After they drove it, their certified mechanic insisted that the noise it was making was normal and asked if I wanted to speak to a Manager. The used car manager said they would offer me the best price they could give me taking into consideration depreciation and taxes. I told him I was in no way able to take a loss on a car I just purchased for $35,000. What galls me is #1, I literally had just purchased this car and had not put any miles on it #2, why would the salesman think I would take a loss on a car I just financed with them. They are ready, willing and able to help you while making the sale, but once you sign for the car, they do not care. Ironically, others who have been in my car have commented that it does sound loud. I actually do not like driving it. Glad I bought a certified car with a wrap-around warranty. I will NOT be buying another car from Byers again. Deciding what I can do so I don't lose money on this purchase because driving it bums me out so much. More

We went the next day, and walked straight to the car test drove it, and then started the process to buy it. There was no haggling and no pressure to get a different car or anything. Attention to Detail Attention to details. We shared with Decaro and Chris that we wanted a certain truck-color, chrome tube steps, automatic transmission etc. However t Attention to details. We shared with Decaro and Chris that we wanted a certain truck-color, chrome tube steps, automatic transmission etc. However the vehicle in stock did not have an automatic transmission or blind spot monitoring. Decaro and Chris said they could find us one. We had negotiated a price of $24,000. When Chris called and said the truck had come in I asked him about the chrome tube steps. He said it had black tube steps. I told him that would be a problem. When we arrived at the dealership Chris said they could replace the black tube steps with the chrome tube steps. So then they tell us the price has jumped to $26,000. It sure would of been nice if they would have shared that information before they went looking for the truck instead of surprising us with a $2000 increase in price. Since the truck wasn’t what we requested we decided on another truck. During the negotiations for the other truck Decaro’s boss requested we pay an additional $500 fee for the shipping costs for the truck that wasn’t exactly what we requested. We agreed to pay the additional $500 but thinking back on it we shouldn’t have to pay for the shipping for a truck that wasn’t what we requested. More
