I feel mislead I took my car in because I was told at another Toyota dealership that I need a solenoid replaced but I didn’t have time to travel back to have them do I took my car in because I was told at another Toyota dealership that I need a solenoid replaced but I didn’t have time to travel back to have them do the work. They were not able to check it out that day and scheduled me to come back, she was aware that the codes had been cleared but had me bring it back anyway. I had no idea that I would be charged until after the fact and they said they couldn’t figure out which solenoid needs replaced. Then instructed me to bring it being when the light comes on again. I just bought this car in July and a paid for the extended warranty but because they couldn’t figure out what needs fixed the warranty didn’t apply but they charged me for diagnostic. 🤨 More

Too much money Went in for a diagnosis of some dash lights that came on. After two hours of diagnosing, service rep came out and gave me a laundry list of what need Went in for a diagnosis of some dash lights that came on. After two hours of diagnosing, service rep came out and gave me a laundry list of what needed to be done. I looked the list over and told them to only do a couple of items. One was just reprogramming a TPS sensor that the car wasn't reading (Not bad and did not need to be replaced). Rep told me it would be a 5 min thing, and the cost was $62.50. After telling them what I wanted done, it took them only 45 minutes to complete. Got my bill and first, I was charged for an item that I told them I didn't want done. Second, labor for the bill was $338. I can tell you that I was only there for 3 hours on the dot and the first two were a diagnosis and I also told them to change the oil. They told me the diagnostic fee was only $99 and the cost would be put toward any work being done and anywhere else I have ever gone to get an oil change, labor was included in the price. Total bill for an oil change, air filter replacement, carb cleanup, TPS sensor code, cleaning out hitch mounting holes was $439.91. I went five years ago for wok on my Sienna and after my recent experience, it reminded me why I almost never take my Sienna back to that Toyota dealership for service. More
