Drove away with a Certified car Our car was in the shop and I was returning the rental car. We walked across the street to the Certified Pre-Owned vehicles just to look. While there the news wasn't good about our car in the shop. Mikhael approached us in a friendly-not pushy-manner and introduced himself. We told him we were just looking and he let us do that. When we decided we needed to pursue another vehicle and had shown interest in one, Mikhael approached again. He suggested a test drive. After answering our questions we decided to look at numbers. His manager, David became involved. Again, friendly and professional and not pushy. He put together a great deal. We then met Sonny in finance. He was also personable and efficient. It was very painless compared to prior experiences. All three of these men were helpful and wanted to be accommodating. We arrived on the lot about 1:00 and drove away in our Certified car by 3:30. Bait and Switch Bait and switch! Purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, first they tried to box me into a high interest rate loan from Allied, but I was able to get Bait and switch! Purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, first they tried to box me into a high interest rate loan from Allied, but I was able to get pre-approval from my credit union. They (Michael in finance) didn't want to wait for the overnighted check of my credit union so they sent the loan to Allied instead, probably hoping I would just go with the more expensive rate since they make money off of those loans. Fine, whatever, I dealt with the hassle having to wait for the loan show in Allied's system to get the pay off amount, I had to pay finance charges to Allied, get the registration and title to show the proper lien holder... it was very time consuming I was going to let that go, but now here I am a month later and realized they didn't sell me a genuine extended mopar warranty like I asked. Instead, Michael sold me a 3rd party contract from "First Extended Service Corp" (read the reviews on that company, they are down right scary). Luckily I caught it within the first 60 days so under California I am entitled to a full refund upon cancellation. I am finding it really hard to recommend Cal Burger, to say their staff is a bit shady, is being very polite. More
