I went to carl burger to receive a oil change /filters. .0n monday 03-09-20 went to express service to obtain service on 2016 Wrangler sport. I replied oh it can wait till the end of year 2020. So, after, a short time a gentleman came up to me - his name is : Dennis Jack Ford . Mr. Ford asked many questions ????. Further as the day progressed Mr. Ford answered my questions as I did his questions ??. He helped me feel comfortable and I developed a trust in his advise. He was extremely professional and supporting . so further , I originally came to carl burger dodge- jeep- Gmc for service and I appreciate his style and much help in making a decision that I didn't think was realistic or possible until maybe the of the year 2020. Also, further - he pointed to the possibility that after I communicated that my ex-wife is greatly in need of a adequate vehicle. So, he explained and gracious with more outstanding professional research inquired and located a vehicle that she was surprised and pleased to meet all of her needs. The only !!! well unfortunate factor in the equation is that she is relying on my financial support to accommodate her in this vehicle venture . Mike is an unethical and incompetent manager Mike totally messed up our financing paperwork. If not for another finance associate catching Mike's egregious error, our car would have been register Mike totally messed up our financing paperwork. If not for another finance associate catching Mike's egregious error, our car would have been registered under the wrong names! Finance is probably the most important step in a car purchase; it is the final stop to establish all the legalities of ownership and cost. The ability to establish accurate names of the registered owners is a very basic and reasonable expectation of the finance staff. An error surrounding the most basic aspect of finance such as this might be excusable if caused by someone new to the position. Mike is a manager and has been in his position for over ten years, which makes such a rookie mistake completely unacceptable and inexcusable. Moreover, when I pointed out to Mike that he messed up our paperwork, he threw an ostensible "they" under the bus by saying, "I didn't do it, they did it." When asked who "they" were, he referred to his own sales department. Adding insult to injury, he also tried to blame US, the customers, for not catching the mistake MIKE made in HIS job. First of all, Mike is a manager of finance, so he should be completely owning anything that happens in his department (good or bad). Second, that he would not only shirk responsibility but then blame his own sales department for his own error and oversight is unprofessional and shows a tremendous lack of ethics and common decency. Third, that he blamed the customer for an error in the paperwork for which HE is responsible for generating further demonstrates his lack of ethics and decency. We have purchased a new car every year for the last three years from Carl Burger, but no more. Mike has cost Carl Burger a former life-long customer. Since Carl Burger has placed an unethical narcissist like Mike in such an important position, we will never return to this dealership. Such inappropriate staffing is reflective of the tone at the top in a company, and as such, we will find another dealership to support. More
