I would have given Toyota a rating of five stars had my experience not included management involvement and the fabulous reminder of how big business works. My story begins before Thanksgiving when my daug experience not included management involvement and the fabulous reminder of how big business works. My story begins before Thanksgiving when my daughter’s car broke down two hours away from her home. I called and spoke to a Toyota service department and was told they could help. I had the car towed there the next day. The service department was extremely helpful in every way. Due to the state of the country the parts Toyota needed were still nowhere to be found. After eight weeks without a car for my daughter, I reached out to see if I could maybe have a loaner vehicle to await the impending repairs. I was told that they would check, but were hopeful that they could help. I was thrilled when I got a call from Toyota saying that they would indeed, give me a loaner. I made arrangements to pick it up the following day. My daughter, having been without a car, took a greyhound bus to Marietta. Pretty scary experience for a young woman who traveled through a major city hub alone. I picked up the loaner without a hitch on a Friday. Everyone was extremely helpful and it truly was a five star rating experience. I gave my daughter my car and she returned safely to her home. On Tuesday, I received a call from middle management stating that they (Toyota service department) had made a mistake and that they would need the loaner car back immediately. They further said that they would not be able to help me with my car. I was quite upset and asked to speak to another person in management. I was called back by a general manager who informed me that I had not done business with Toyota in 13 years and therefore was not a priority consumer and they could not give charity. There it is. Data. What we have become. We are not human beings with stories and intertwined histories anymore to upper management of large corporations. We are just data. I had to struggle again and ended up buying another car the next day. I could not in good conscience do business with this company under the management of someone who held their employees under a tyrannical leadership style. Additionally, that they refused to help because I had not bought from them in some time really speaks to their own low expectations for the longevity of their vehicles. They expect them to break in less than 13 years. This is why I will give the lowest rating possible with a strong warning to all who seek to do business with Toyota. Beware. More
Like others in these reviews made an online appointment for an oil change. Never clicked on link "First come first served." Like others got an email confirming appointment but when I arrived at the dealers for an oil change. Never clicked on link "First come first served." Like others got an email confirming appointment but when I arrived at the dealership got the 3 hours wait message from the appointed service advisor. I bought my vehicle here 16 years ago and have had it serviced here. Used to be if you had an appointment you were in/out in about an hour, maybe hour and half at most. I can understand the wait if I simply drove in off the street. Not a good way to keep customers. The dealer who services my other vehicle (non toyota) oil changes with an appointment their goal is to have you in and out in 1 hour. Will not be back to Cobb County Toyota I can do the oil change at home faster myself. More
Have bought two cars here and all maintenance has been done here on both cars. Needed a new electronic key for my current car and was quoted about $400. Local locksmith price is about $120. My guess is done here on both cars. Needed a new electronic key for my current car and was quoted about $400. Local locksmith price is about $120. My guess is the dealership has been overcharging on routine maintenance for years. Scheduled maintenance will.no longer be done by this dealership. More
I made a service appointment on the website several days in advance for an oil change and tire rotation, for Saturday morning at 9:30am. Upon arriving and confirming my appointment and required service, I in advance for an oil change and tire rotation, for Saturday morning at 9:30am. Upon arriving and confirming my appointment and required service, I was asked if I will be dropping off the car and said that I will wait for the car as I indicated when making the appointment. I was told the wait is 3 to 4 hours. I inquired how that could be since I made an appointment, and I was then told oil change is first come-first serve. This was not revealed in the appointment process - I just went through it again. I spoke to Todd the Service Department Manager, and then to Joel Treiger the General Manager, and they both stood by this false story that I clicked to agree to "first come, first served" when scheduling the appointment. I have purchased multiple vehicles here in the past and spent a lot of money with the service department and I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN! Todd and Joel if you read this - I hope next time you make a dinner reservation and arrive and are told it is first come, first serve and you have to wait 3 to 4 hours for a table that you are satisfied with that level of service. You should be - that is how you treat your customers! Also - shared with Todd Pluger and Joel the text message from them confirming my appointment which reads exactly: "Hi, Thank you for scheduling a service appointment at Cobb County Toyota on Sat 09/25/2021 at 9:30am. To add this to your calendar, click the link". Nothing about first come, first serve. They were not interested in reading the text message of course. More

Requested only an oil change, but rep said additional services were needed, costing $160, instead of expected $46 from mail received oil change coupon received from dealer. Rep did NOT give me the option services were needed, costing $160, instead of expected $46 from mail received oil change coupon received from dealer. Rep did NOT give me the option of choosing ONLY an oil change, giving me a $10 discount due to coupon. Receipt states: "customer requests a 30K mile service", which is NOT true. I love dealing with their sales team, but have several poor experiences with service team. More
Bad experience with this dealership. Had a 9AM appt for service. The appt was made by Austin. I arrived early 8:30a and was checked in by David Cobb. Austin was not in until 9a. Asked if any pro service. The appt was made by Austin. I arrived early 8:30a and was checked in by David Cobb. Austin was not in until 9a. Asked if any problem coming in early to which I was told no. At 12:00 I checked with Austin as I was told the service would take 1-1/2 hrs. Austin told me no one told him my car was there and they had not started on the service. David Cobb has not left any notice to Austin. He dropped the ball. Within the hour my service was done thanks to Austin. Not a good way to start a relationship with this dealership. It was my first visit. More
We have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership in the last 4 years. We have used this dealership for all the service for those new cars. Yesterday, my 20 YO daughter brought her car in because it was m last 4 years. We have used this dealership for all the service for those new cars. Yesterday, my 20 YO daughter brought her car in because it was making a strange noise. After a few hours the technician came out and told her it needed some repairs that were somewhat costly. She asked a couple questions and then the technician said give me a second. Thirty minutes later he came back and didn’t give her any written estimate or summary. She researched the cost of the repair online and found that Toyota was about 25% higher than another mechanic that we trust. The technician returned, she told him she was going to take it somewhere else. He was visibly angry. He complained that he had to put the car back together and would need to work late. She said he was pretty rude to her. He didn’t give her a summary of the recommended service even after she paid for the diagnostics. He basically wrote her off when she declined over priced service. I have always felt like the service center employees at this dealership didn’t like Thier job or didn’t like interacting with customers. But they have always completed the service effectively. I will no longer bringing my vehicle in for service at this dealership. I wouldn’t recommend this service center for work in the future. There are too many other reputable service locations in the area who value my and my friends business. More
I had been going to this Toyota dealership for over 8 years and for several of my cars, including toyotas and other brands. It wasn't until my last car going to this shop that they lost all integrity and years and for several of my cars, including toyotas and other brands. It wasn't until my last car going to this shop that they lost all integrity and my trust. My vehicle (not a toyota) hit a pothole and needed repair but was still driveable. Prior to coming to CC Toyota, I called Chris and asked him if they were comfortable working on a this issue for a non-Toyota. He said sure, bring it in. They reviewed the issue, said they could fix it, and proceeded to replace the strut and strut top. Afterward, the drive was fine except for a noticeable popping noise everytime I initially cut the wheel and drive the car. After 3 more visits to assess the popping noise, they told me they should have never worked on a non- Toyota and that I was out of luck because to them, the repair was satisfactory and my complaint was cosmetic. I have since taken my business elsewhere for everything I'll ever need with my cars - But to know that this is the behavior they demonstrate to a years-long, good standing customer over an $800 repair was purely unprofessional and thoughtless. I'll never forget it. More
