This is the third vehicle I have purchased from Courtesy Acura and my satisfaction with each transaction has steadily declined. Everything related to the sales process was nothing short of painful. The inventory represented on the website was grossly inaccurate. I understand that Covid related challenges could contribute to making it difficult to keep the website up to date, however even after we waited three weeks for our vehicle to make it to the dealership (we were told it would take no more than 7 days) the same inaccurate and misrepresented listings were still on the website. Our sales person lacked knowledge of the most up to date deals/offers and certainly did not have any level of empowerment related to finalizing our deal. It truly was a throwback to the "old" days of purchasing a car when nearly every question or request for consideration was met with "let me check with my manager," of which no flexibility was shown. And, it was truly astonishing that no recognition of the fact that this was my third vehicle being purchased was ever made. It was clear to me that Courtesy Acura does not value repeat business. Our paperwork had to be redone multiple times as there were multiple errors. In fact, more than a week after we had finalized all of the paperwork and taken possession of the car, we were contacted to "resign" our paperwork because there were errors apparently due to a system malfunction and we were told that if we did not sign the paperwork our alternative was to return the vehicle. What was stunning about it all was that no explanation was provided as to what had "changed", and in fact new amounts and figures were written into the new paperwork. At a minimum I would think a professional organization would request the opportunity to explain the updated paperwork and highlight what was new/changed. Cole Harris, in the finance department finally jumped in to try and salvage the relationship and help to finalize the paperwork. I did appreciate his open and candid style, communication and solutions oriented approach. In thirty five plus years of purchasing cars, this truly was the worst experience I have ever had. We are truly a Acura/Honda loyal family as we have owned three Hondas and four Acuras, largely due to the overall satisfaction for the quality of the product and generally for our service experience. There is no doubt in my mind that we are likely to purchase at least one more new vehicle in the 18 months and it is likely to be an Acura. It is not likely, however to be purchased at Courtesy Acura. Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion as it relates to the overall experience. Curtis Bova More
