Never pressured. Didn't try to sell me on extra unnecessary options. Salesman, Rob was great Didn't try to sell me on extra unnecessary options. Salesman, Rob was great More
This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at any dealership, and I’ve bought several vehicles from several dealerships. Instead of slinging mud I’ll just state the facts (condensed) and let you any dealership, and I’ve bought several vehicles from several dealerships. Instead of slinging mud I’ll just state the facts (condensed) and let you decide where you’d prefer to shop for a vehicle. Day 1: We were buying from out-of-state and wanted to make a small vacation out of it. We had wired the deposit (a substantial amount) to their bank account early in the morning and had confirmation from the salesman that the money had cleared into the account. Day 3: Two full days after the wire transfer, the salesman called me and explained that the car had been sold just 30 minutes before the wire came in. My thoughts were: 1) It takes a couple of hours for a money wire to come through… why weren’t the keys held and the car taken off the lineup? 2) also, why am I only finding out two full days later and not the day of?” (Long story short) Day 28: I called the office and asked to speak with the manager. Instead, they transferred me to the sales team. The “manager” had “full knowledge” of my situation and offered no apology. The reason I was given was that: “it can’t go out as a check… if it’s wire transferred in, it has to be wire transferred out… I don’t know why it’s taken so long, that’s taken care of by the people upstairs.” I asked to speak to someone upstairs and was told I couldn’t because: “everything has to go through the sales team”. So, I literally was being refused the ability to talk to the person who knew the answer. Day 32: Still no wire transfer and no phone call explaining why… I called the front desk. “Do you have a general manager I can talk to?” “Yes sir. Please hold…” “This is (…). I know all about your situation. I can sit here and listen to you for 20 minutes, but there’s nothing I can do for you until Monday.” (This made me feel like he just wanted me to hang up and trust me to leave everything in his capable hands… no way!) “What has taken so long?” “…Uh, I could lie to you… Look, they take care of these things upstairs and they’re not in the office today. So, my hands are tied until Monday…” (again with the “people upstairs” bit!) “So, I can call you Monday?” “Yes sir.” “Thank you” Day 34: Still no wire transfer and no phone call explaining why… I called the front desk at midday (plenty of time to figure things out) and asked for the general manager who was expecting my call. I was told that I was being transferred to him… I was actually transferred to the sales team again! I guess I wasn’t worth the general manager’s time now. Without having disclosed who I was, the conversation immediately started out with my name. “Yeah (…), look, we’re just gonna’ mail you a check.” “A check? After all this time, you’re going to just mail me a check?” “Yes, sir. We’ve been waiting for you to call so that we can confirm your mailing address.” “You’ve had it and confirmed it a month ago.” “Is it (…)”? “Yes”. “Okay. Just look for it in the mail”. “Okay, but just realize that I was told that this very form of reimbursement (refund by check) was not an option; that it was not possible for you to do it; and now after 34 days you’re telling me that it’s okay?” “Yep. Just look for it in the mail. It’s going out regular post, not overnighted or anything.” “And are you going to reimburse me for the wire transfer fee?” “No, that won’t be happening. That’s part of doing business. Thank you.” He ended the call. Day 36: Check arrived (PRE-DATED BY 10 DAYS! As if I wouldn’t notice!) Glad to be done with them! Let me just take a moment and remind everyone that I was completely cordial and professional in my communications with them; not to mention EXTREMELY PATIENT! Never once did I raise my voice; never once did I get a valid explanation for the delay; and never ONCE did I get an apology form a sales or general manager… Well, I hope I’ve given you enough information to make an informed decision. Shop wisely, my friends. Have a blessed day 😊 More
