Happy 2014 Crosstour Owner I spent an inordinate amount of time doing my due diligence, so I didn't feel like I needed to be "sold" anything, but knew what I wanted. In turn the Gabe Tichenor did his due diligence as well, making sure I had been shown other options in my price range. Bottom line: I love my Crosstour now and loved it from the minute I drive it off the lot. Perfect car for me, its size and versatility is exactly what I wanted. Bought a great used car We have used Don Ayers for service for the past 12 years, and had purchased 6 vehicles from them over that time period. It was time to replace one of our sales vehicles, so we went again to Don Ayers. Don Ayers pre-screens all their used vehicles in a way that gives me confidence. It is still a used vehicle, but their processes take away a lot of the uncertainty. In the past, I knew what I wanted, so buying usually required one or two test drives. As a business owner, I try to be respectful of the time of other companies and salespeople. We try to do our homework in advance, and make the sales process easy for the salesperson as well as for us. But this time, I was changing to something smaller with better gas mileage, and I wasn't sure what I wanted. It required 7 test drives before I finally settled on the vehicle I purchased (Sorry Darrin). But Darrin patiently helped me do my homework "on the spot" this time. Darrin Bickle is an excellent salesperson, steady, knowledgeable and hard-working. He has been committed to Don Ayers for a long time, something I value. He is the type of salesperson we like to work with. No hard sell, no gimmicks, very patient and pleasant to work with. He helped me land on the right vehicle, even though it was not as good for him as a salesperson. This is the mark of a true professional, the kind of salesman one can trust, and a great representative of the quality of personnel that make Don Ayers such a great dealership. The best service place in town Our company spent years bouncing from service shop to service shop. But once we found Don Ayers, we settled in. For the past 12 years, we have been bringing most of our company vehicles (they don't work on our biggest trucks so we have to go elsewhere for those), as well as our personal vehicles. GMC's, Fords, Hondas & Toyotas have all been handled with excellence. Hands-down, bar-none, this is the best service place in town in my experience. Over the course of these years we have received hundreds of services and repairs from Don Ayers. No one is perfect, and there have been a few "misses" (less than one percent). But even these are handled with professional responses. Kevin Capelli does a great job as our head account manager, and Charles Suter is the consummate professional as our point man. And all the guys are well-trained to fill in when Kevin or Charles are not available. Having experienced the service departments of many of the other Fort Wayne options, I think it is crazy to use anyone else. Stick with the best for less headaches and less down time. We have also purchased several used Hondas from Don Ayres over the years for our children and the service department and the body shop have always provided excellent service. We are already thinking of buying a new Honda HRV in the near future so we hope Andy is still around when we are ready. By the way, our first Honda was a 1979 Accord hatchback we had to buy used because back then there were no new ones in stock. More
