I came in for an oil change, and a noise in the front end. When they couldn't see anything wrong, I asked him to please drive it; he did, and found the problem. They fixed it that very day! First service on our new CR-V. All was great except the car wash they provided (free with the OLF). If was so badly water stained I took it straight to get it washed as it was not presentable. We stated 60 months in our credit application and were presented with a 72 month loan. Having driven all the way from Cleveland for the car, that was unsettling for my wife and I. Returning home, it took us a couple of days to look at the car without distaste - sort of like leaving a bad taste in our mouths. We'd like to believe the dealership was helpful, but I felt the price should have been more negotiable on the car, and then that 72 month surprise - both reflect poorly on the dealership to us. Having just sold the same model of car, I am more than aware of the bargaining in selling a car. Sitting in the dealership, we realized the car we HAD was better than the one we were purchasing. Dave Smith did his best to contend with us, but we were wavering at that point. When I questioned the price again, he offered to show us older cars instead of offering us a better deal on the car we came to buy. It felt like the dealership was just playing hardball, and being a business owner myself, I know the give and take in pricing. Don Ayers was not giving a dime and that made us feel like we were being taken advantage of, since we had traveled so far. Overall, I wouldn't say we wouldn't go back, but in all the years of buying cars, this was probably one of the least enjoyable transactions. More
