Hi, I have often thought that the more you spend on a car the better the treatment the buyer receives. Boy, was I wrong. I know that I bought the least expensive car that Hyundai makes. The way that Mike Smith treated me, I felt that I was buying a Rolls Royce. Although it's obvious that the commission on an Accent is minimal, he treated me with patience, respect and honesty. The whole time he spent with me, he was wearing a smile reassuring me that this is my time and no one else's. I truly felt that I was his only customer that day. I cannot begin to tell you what that experience alone has meant to me, and still does. It is obvious that he is a great salesman, but his integrity, honesty and caring demonstrates that he is just as wonderful a human being as he is a salesman. I found the car I wanted online through the USAA car buying service. I contacted the dealership and spoke to Mario Petti. Mario gave me the details of the vehicle. I told him I would fly in from Sant buying service. I contacted the dealership and spoke to Mario Petti. Mario gave me the details of the vehicle. I told him I would fly in from Santa Fe within 24 hours. He agreed to hold the car for me with a deposit on my credit card. He took the car off the lot and reserved it until I cold get there. He gave me his cell phone number and said to call him when I knew my flight times. He followed up and offered to pick me up at the airport. When I arrived at the dealership he was waiting at the entrance to the showroom. We checked out the car, took a test drive, and he explained and demonstrated all the features of the vehicle. We went back to the dealership to fill out the papers. Mario was very friendly and straightforward in our discussion. He ran all the paperwork efficiently, and reviewed everything with me. Mario was very personable, and we talked about the old neighborhoods in New Jersey. I was preapproved for a USAA loan, and I told him I'd like to know what the dealership could do on interest rates, and also extended warranty. Mario introduced me to Ian Parker, and Ian explained all the options for financing and extended warranties. He was very thorough and explained everything very well. I got a great deal on the car, a great deal on the financing (better than my pre-approved loan), and the extended warranty. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and helpful. Mario followed up the next day while I was driving the car back to Santa Fe. Mario and Ian were very professional and personable. As a surprise on Dec 31 2012 my husband bought me a Hyundai Genesis Coup. The 3.8 Trac Package. He Loved Loved Loved the car. However, as for me, I really didn't. (Our other current is a F350 raised) the Hyundai Genesis was just too small and low to the ground. The car itself was awesome - just not for me. So on April 5th we took it back to the dealership and they worked us a great deal to switch cars. Yes, obviously we lost a little money in the deal and our payment did go up a few dollars. But my car insurance dropped a great deal so we're still to the good and I love my new Santa Fe Sport! It's beautiful and more my speed! The salemen and Finance worked way past quitin' time to close the deal. They wanted to make sure I was happy with the outcome and I am extremely happy. I can't thank them enough! More
