After being on the phone for 30 minutes to find out they did not have the part I needed in stock, which I explained over the phone the AC condenser was leaking and I wanted to preorder parts so I do not have to make 2 trips, I had scheduled my appointment a week in advance to be on my day off, 1 week later. I had papers from another shop that I showed which they had referred me to this company because my car make and model is serviced at Euro Motors smart cars., I asked for the earliest appointment that day, which they gave me a 7:30 am. appt. I wanted to be in and out which is why I scheduled so early, because I have other errands to run on my day off..Today I get there 7:30 with full rows in the service lanes full of people waiting. My SERVICE ADVISOR ; JOSEPH LYONS seemed to be a polite individual explaining and answering questions I had at first, but later I found out that he was 2 faced, slick and shy , scamming like ways with the prices. I was quoted $149 for the diagnostic check to find out where there was a leak coming from the AC unit, (which is were they put a refridgerant in to recharge the AC and detect where the leak is coming from). I explained to him I know all so well what they need to do to find the leak as I have got the same service done at another place and showed the papers, but that place could not fix my car model , because the person that was able to do it left their shop and their staff referred me here. I was told it would be about and Hour just pay $149. 2hours later the car has not even been looked at for diagnostics but he brought some mechanic with him and was trying to switch up his quote of $149 diagnostic and say that I need to pay $280 for them in total for diagnostic to put the refrigerant in and recharge the ac unit and find out where the leak is and it was like he was trying to play me as a fool, we kept going back and forth about what he quoted for diagnostic fee, and I'm asking him multiple times where how is the $149 diagnostics going to dectect where the leak is if i have to pay $280 ....It was not until after 2 and half hours of getting no where that I said well I will leave and get this diagnostic test else where, then he finally came to his senses to credit his mistake and not acknowledge it, but the only fair person in this situation was the mechanic that he brought up at the time.
so finally I ended pay $149 almost 3hours later. and then they want to wash my car. I told them not to wash the car and they wash it anyway. The guy that washed the car had said he got the gears stuck in drive mode and could get it out of drive and says I need to see my service tech for an unrelated appt.
I wasted about 3 and half hours to get my car washed and misguided fees. bad experience.
