Ford of Port Richey isn’t an ideal dealership. The sales part of it wasn’t bad. The rest was pretty bad. First, the car wasn’t detailed when I purchased it and I had to leave without a detail. They also gav part of it wasn’t bad. The rest was pretty bad. First, the car wasn’t detailed when I purchased it and I had to leave without a detail. They also gave me the wrong car key and I had no car mats. They also owed me window tint. I came back a week later to get it detailed and get my car key and everything else that was owed. They discovered an issue half way through the tint and I had to come back again. They gave me the wrong car key, again. A couple weeks later, I came back and they fixed my warranty issue. They tinted my car and gave me the correct key on the third trip there. (It’s an hour drive each way) They finally detailed my car in the third trip. The back window was extremely dirty. They gave me the wrong car mats. And the window tint was bubbling and scratched. I brought it up to my salesman. Here we are over a month later with no resolution……… not recommended. More

My husband negotiated a deal over the phone because we live in Tennessee. We had a deal and we were approved through our credit union for financing. I let the salesman know we were flying into Tampa, Sa live in Tennessee. We had a deal and we were approved through our credit union for financing. I let the salesman know we were flying into Tampa, Saturday (the next day) at 9:35 and we would be at the dealership by noon. We arrived at 11:35 am. There was a problem with the back hatch and they were investigating the solution. We were told someone was on the way to their sister store to get the part to fix it. Then we were allowed to test drive the car and look it over. The gas light and the tire pressure light came on during the test drive. It was corrected but the feeling was the car and the paperwork should have been ready when we arrived since the deal was worked out over the past two days. We were grateful they found the problem and were willing to fix it before we left. However we were there for four hours. The finance person was rude and argumentative. (I worked as a title clerk/finance person in a dealership for 2 years). He lied to us telling us we had to prove our residency and had to have VIN specific insurance. He even called our insurance company to add the car to our insurance without our permission. (This is a company policy but not necessary). He also wanted us to sign blank paperwork that was supposed to be notarized but the notary was not present. He told us the title company fills out the paperwork. The finance person also said purchasing a car takes 3-4 hours. My response was not when you have a completed deal (not picking out a car, not having a trade in and already having financing) and a cashier’s check in hand for the amount of the car. They did send in the notary and Michael, a second finance guy. He was fantastic. Michael’s job was to smooth everything over and he did a good job. Great personality, Fun to work with and definitely would work With him and Dean our salesman who was also great again. In fairness we were on time constraints, having a 12 hour drive home to be at my grandson’s baptism Sunday morning. We left the dealership at 3:30. We have purchased our last two vehicles out of State and were in and out in an hour. More
Everyone that I spoke with was knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. It’s hard to find a good dealership that won’t just sell you a car to make money. Convenient location. Responsive to my needs. The only thing I don't like about them is they always try to sell me something else while I'm there like a battery or tires even though they are perfectly fin thing I don't like about them is they always try to sell me something else while I'm there like a battery or tires even though they are perfectly fine.
