Heat Shield I came to Gates because a heat shield above the muffler on my 2012 Camry became loose. I was very pleased that I could bring the car in on the same day (5-11-19). When the repairs was finished I was told the heat shield was not necessary and was taken off. My question I thought of later, if the heat shield was not necessary why did Toyota put it on originally? Also on my work statement it states Correction REATTACHED HEAT SHIELD; invoice # 94104 MOL.
