Our Subaru Forester Sport is less than 1.5 years old with an extended Gold Plus warranty. We had a subtle lurching issue when the car shifted into higher gear that started over the summer (2020). It got pr an extended Gold Plus warranty. We had a subtle lurching issue when the car shifted into higher gear that started over the summer (2020). It got progressively more intense so we thought to bring it into Subaru. They claimed that due to a 3rd party oil change (over 2 months prior) that the transmission needed to be completely replaced and the out of pocket cost for us was $8900. We called Subaru corporate and after much back and forth they agreed to cover $4500. We then waited two weeks for the car to be repaired. Every time we called they told us the same exact story, " We are down a mechanic and are extremely busy, we will try to call you back in a few days". They never called, we always did. They also refused to give us a loaner car, at first claiming there were none available but later claiming it was a courtesy they couldn't honor (no explanation). Well we got the car back and guess what? The issue IS STILL HAPPENING! We are filing a complaint with DMV who will come to inspect the car and determine the next course of action. I was so excited to get this car and we heard such great things about it. However this whole situation is an ongoing nightmare for us. Do yourself a favor and look up CVT transmissions in Subarus before even thinking about buying one. I suspect it may change your mind. Plus Hassett Subaru of Wantagh were so apathetic and disinterested in helping us that you might want to consider avoiding them as well. More

Did a fine job with recall problem. Although less then thrilled with the grease and dirt left on my drivers side seat. Service tech never covered the seat ot steering wheel when the where in my vehicle. thrilled with the grease and dirt left on my drivers side seat. First time I was ever there and if this is the way they handle my vehicle I will not go back or recommend them to anybody. Especially in this day and age with covid19 all parts of my vehicle should have been covered. Obviously they give very little attention to health and safety. More

My Escape is Fixed. The problem - the ac leak at manifold - line was now leaking from the weld at the babble. Apparently resulted in a design flaw.
