Susan, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We certainly want to address your concerns. It sounds like there was a lack of clear communication on our end about some of the work, as you described. For that, we do apologize. Management has been informed of your feedback so we can work with your Service Advisor to improve communication. When checking pricing on any items for repair, we recommend making sure you are price checking items that are specifically GM approved brands and that the items are new. As we are a certified GM shop, we are required to use parts that are approved by GM or produced specifically by GM. The battery was $149.95. You also mentioned a battery terminal. That was a cable that was actually $92.55. We also addressed clicking noise, which required the replacement of the actuator in your vehicle. The actuator was covered under your service contract. All parts pricing that I mentioned here is specifically for the part, not including taxes, fees or labor to install. Pricing on parts does not change job to job. The only time pricing changes is when GM or other manufacturer increases their price. We understand your frustration with not having repairs started on your vehicle immediately at drop off. For repairs that need in-depth diagnosis by a Journeyman Technician (a more highly trained mechanic that one who performs routine maintenance), there can be a delay for them to be available. We can assure you that the dispatcher and the technicians treat each of these types of jobs the same, whether they are warranty or not. We do our best to get vehicles worked on and fixed as quickly as possible. We actually covered the cost of the rental that was over what your extended warranty would cover to keep costs to you as low as possible. The diagnostic charge of $155 was not separately charged. This cost is only separated out if we do diagnosis on a vehicle, but the customer chooses to get repairs done elsewhere or if we are not able to find a problem. Otherwise, the diagnostic charge is put towards the cost of repairs, as was the case in your circumstance. The $155 that was discussed was put towards the labor and parts costs of repairs. We are happy to provide you with an itemized listing of your repairs. This should have been provided to you at the cashier when you paid for your vehicle. It looks similar to a receipt. I will personally be emailing you the detailed repair order for your last visit. This also details the parts costs, labor, taxes, fees, and what was covered by your extended warranty.
