I bought my vehicle from Jimmy Britt on Saturday, August 10th. I bought it online and since I had owned 4 previous Jeeps I didnt see the need to test drive it or see it in person. The sale went smoothly a 10th. I bought it online and since I had owned 4 previous Jeeps I didnt see the need to test drive it or see it in person. The sale went smoothly and I was told that the Jeep would be delivered that evening, I lived 2 1/2 hours away from Statesboro. I received a call later that afternoon apologizing for the fact that the Jeep had somehow been sold to me prior to it going through the "pre sale" inspection. I was told this would happen first thing Monday morning and then it would be shipped to me. Monday afternoon I received another call, once again an apology, the Jeep didn't pass inspection, it needed new tires and it wouldn't be ready to ship until Wednesday. The manager mentioned that I probably wouldn't mind waiting a few extra days for a set of new tires and I agreed. I received the Jeep late Wednesday evening and quickly realized that they had only replaced 2 of the 4 tires, so now I had 2 brand new tires and 2 with 40k miles on them. I also realized, after digging the floor mats out of the bed of the Jeep that one of them was missing. When I addressed these issues the next day I was told that the 2 tires with 40k miles on them actually passed inspection and when I mentioned that I was promised a "set" of tires I was told "sorry". As far as the missing floor mat I was sent a $100 gift card so that I could spend $180.00 to replace the mats...$80 loss on my part. About 2 weeks later my battery died on me and I had to spend $280 on a new one. When I mentioned this to them I was told that this should have been caught in the inspection process and they would check with the service department and get back with me. I have heard nothing from them, crickets. I would give them 0 stars if possible. I paid full asking price for this Jeep so I know they had some wiggle room to make me a happy customer. They could have replaced all four tires as promised, sent me a new set of floor mats (they could probably get them cheaper then I could) and lastly they could have refunded me for having to replace the battery within weeks of delivery. I also discovered that all Jeeps from 2018 to present can have an issue call galvanic corrosion under the paint. This occurs on the hood, doors and tailgates, this is a known issue to Jeep and they are repairing, although very slowly, any Jeep that has this issue if it is within the 5 year corrosion warranty. Jimmy Britt is a Jeep dealer and knowingly sold me a Jeep which has this issue, I brought this to their attention and have heard nothing. Very friendly during the sale, a lot of :) in the texts, but support after delivery, well, your on your own. More
I found this truck online on CarGurus and it was exactly what I wanted. I reached out to the dealership and was answer promptly. However that was the first and last time the answer was prompt. Typically you what I wanted. I reached out to the dealership and was answer promptly. However that was the first and last time the answer was prompt. Typically you don’t have to go after a dealership, they usually make sure they don’t lose contact with you. But not this one, I had to pry information out of the salesman. And it became such a hassle, I called and requested a new one (which they did not give me). Then over a month later they say they lost my registration for my trade in which they needed to complete the title transfer. And that was not a typo…it was a month later. I wasn’t even going to write a review but they kept sending me emails to write one. So I figure I’ll leave an honest one. The good: they had the vehicle I wanted. The bad: everything about the sales process is horrible. Maybe you’ll have a better experience. More
