I continue to take my vehicle to be serviced at Lakeland Volkswagen mostly because of two people, Business Manager Larry Riddle, and their Lead Service Advisor Ashleigh Hernann. We purchased our 2018 Volkswagen Atlas from this dealer in October 2017. Since that time we have had no less than five repairs almost annually to the air conditioner. The first few were under warranty. The in October 2017. Since that time we have had no less than five repairs almost annually to the air conditioner. The first few were under warranty. The car has about 65,000 miles now. Again, this is a recurrent problem. Each time we hear a clicking of the damper doors, then the air starts blowing hot and cold intermittently. We also smell a strong gassy smell of some sort. We brought the car in for service again, in hopes of a repair that we did not receive. The service writer and technician said the Freon was a little low, so they added more Freon, but nothing else was wrong. We asked if the service writer had driven the car to see how strong the smell was that we were referring to. It was so strong we would have to roll the windows down. She had not, but agreed to drive the car to see what we were talking about. When she returned from her drive, she called to say that she definitely smelled a strong gassy smell. She said it smelled like someone had painted in the car or spilled paint. She asked if we had painted or spilled paint in the car and we have not. We have never carried paint, painted or anything of the sort that she was asking. She ultimately called us a liar and said that we must have had paint in the car. Not only where we called liars, but were charged $300 for repairs that did not happen. We were inconvenienced without our car for several days in hopes of them resolving the problem again. We definitely will not go back to this dealer in the future and will recommend that our family & friends go elsewhere for better service. More
