Buying your first car on your own can be an intimidating and stressful experience. All the advice I've gotten over the years has always made it seem like you had to prep for battle before you even got into and stressful experience. All the advice I've gotten over the years has always made it seem like you had to prep for battle before you even got into the dealership. But I didn't get that feeling at Liberty Subaru. I walked in that first day, nervous and not even sure I wanted to deal with a pushy sales person that moment, only to be surprised by how warm and welcoming it was inside. John Clarke was sweet, funny, and patient with me as he answered all my questions that day. There wasn't a single inclination that I was expected to buy or sign for anything that moment. He was even up front about the fact that there was 99% likely to be a wait should I want a new car because it would've had to come straight from the factory in Japan (at the time of this review, the chip shortage is still a substantial factor in buying or leasing any new car in 2022). About a month later I came back in and made an order for a new 2022 Crosstrek. I waited for this car, and when I got that email letting me know that it was finally done and had arrived at the lot , I can tell you that it was well worth the wait. John walked me through every feature of this car, patiently answered all my questions (even the ones that I didn't think to ask!) and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I've personally worked 10+ years in customer service and I can absolutely say that the care and kindness this dealership invests in every guest that steps foot in their establishment is above and beyond what anyone expects and it pays off in every smile that they help create.
