Wonderful experience I had decided after researching to purchase a Subaru. I didn't know which model would be the best fit for me as I am a short woman with some limitati I had decided after researching to purchase a Subaru. I didn't know which model would be the best fit for me as I am a short woman with some limitations. I had purchased a pre-owned car from Liberty Hyundai in Mahwah, and my daughter purchased a Subaru from Liberty in Emerson. My experience several years ago with the Liberty dealership and my daughter's satisfactory experience led me to Liberty Subaru. I called to make an appointment for some test drives. Mr. Alex Welch took my call. I could not have been entrusted to a more able salesperson. He explained the details in depth on the models I was interested in and took me on test drives of the two we narrowed my choices down to. After driving the Forester and the Outback, I selected an Outback Limited, with all the options. The car was not at this dealership, but Mr. Welch found one that would be delivered before the end of the month. I patiently waited and when Mr. Welch called me last week to let me know that my car was in, I was pleasantly surprised. I have heard some horror stories of people who purchased other makes of cars who were waiting weeks and months longer due to this delay and that delay. But not this dealership. Mr. Welch spent a good part of the afternoon with me on the two test drives and going over all the questions and details of the car I selected. Once we settled on the pricing and the trade in value of my current car, I was directed to Ms. Nicole Drakeford, Finance Manager, who explained all the warranty plans available. The day I picked up my car, once I had gotten all the books and other information from Mr. Welch, he directed me to the new Finance Manager, Mr. Robert Bontemps, as I was very interested in purchasing several of the extended warranties offered by Subaru. Mr. Bontemps was very accommodating in explaining all the details of each plan and even had the service department complete the inside and outside protection before I left the dealership so I didn't have to make another trip to the dealership for that purpose. The windows were etched and the inside and outside were coated with the protectant. I couldn't be happier with all that was done. Once all the service work was done, Mr. Welch then spent quite a lot more time explaining how the Eyesight works, the headlights sync with the Eyesight, the power seats get set, the remote car starter operates and any other important information I needed. When I purchased the car, Mr. Welch said I should plan on spending several hours when I picked it up - and he wasn't kidding! But this is what I am most pleased about. I have recommended Mr. Welch to a co-worker who is interested in leasing a Subaru and I told her that she wouldn't be sorry if she were to ask for him by name. This was the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. More
