Martin Loeber immigrated to Illinois from Germany back in the 1920s. This was that land of opportunity, and he simply wanted to earn enough money to buy a farm back home in Germany. He started by selling Chevys in 1928, and quickly set his sights higher. He fell in love with the automotive industry, and just a few years later in 1936, he opened his first dealership in Downtown Chicago.
After 80 years, and two generations, Loeber Motors is still going strong, and we are proud to own this Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, and Smart car dealership right here in Chicago.
With our 80,000 square-foot facility, we have set ourselves up to serve all of your Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, and Smart needs. In fact, we offer one of the largest combined Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Sprinter retail and service facilities in the Midwest.

This was a long distance purchase and everything went well, even when it came to working with a 3rd party shipper that I contracted with. My wife trusts my judgement when buying a vehicle and there was literally nothing Jacob or Loeber motors staff, managers, finance and others behind the scene wouldn't do for me when I asked. I asked to do a few things that didn't all go my way, but their business operating procedures proved to meet all my needs and delivered a very smooth experience. Very trustworthy, polite, professional and a joy to work with. No pressure along the way. Structured and factual the way I like it. The quality and price couldn't be beat. My wife was so impressed she is considering leaving the Loeber motors license plate frame on her car, this is her car, instead of her "I'd rather be shopping at Von Maur" frame. That's saying something! Thank you all at Loeber motors. This will be my MB, Porsche or Toyota go to dealership even though it would be long distance business. Cheers. More
