Bait and Switch & Deceptive Sales Tactics I was told to come in for the best offer on TWO vehicles by the internet sales manager Kristen, but after spending over 2 hours in traffic round trip, I was off to come in for the best offer on TWO vehicles by the internet sales manager Kristen, but after spending over 2 hours in traffic round trip, I was offered just $2,196 off - a far cry from what was implied. I tried to negotiate $10,000 off both vehicles, but was told that $2,196 was the best they could do. Despite clearly stating I already had financing, Nick still pushed to run my credit. Later, the sales rep Nick called and accused me of playing games, asking for my best offer. I said what’s your best and was told I needed to tell them. I said somewhere between $2K and $8K, but needed to know what they could actually offer. Instead of giving a straight answer, he pressured me to name a number. I said $8K, and he texted back 3 mins later saying they couldn’t do that and their original offer still stood. I understand dealerships are trying to make money, but it’s best to be honest upfront. If the deal was only $1,098 off each vehicle, just say that over the phone and that you don’t have wiggle room. If $10k is too high state what you can do - by telling me over the phone vs having me drive 80 miles for foolishness. Instead, Kristin, the Internet Sales Manager, told me to come in for the best offer, which turned out to be a classic bait and switch. I felt misled and toyed with. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a transparent or respectful buying experience. Screenshots below to substantiate my claim. More
