When I had a possible problem with my car (oil light flickered on) on the same day I had to travel for a family crisis, the service department was wonderful about putting me at the front of the line and taking care of my car right away so I felt secure to travel. We will definitely be buying another Subaru (our cars made it through this awful winter with no problem whatsoever) when our Forester dies, and we look forward to working with Andre again. More
I have bought 4 other Subaru's new, from a Grand Rapids dealer over the last 12 years! I have never gotten the customer service from any other dealer except Andre Coffee at My Imports! While we were looking for a car, Andre' was very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. He was determined to get us the best deal possible, and has a very friendly, no-pressure approach. He called to let us know another vehicle (same model) in another color was available, but again, didn't pressure us in any way - letting us make the decision, and never pressuring us to buy something we didn't want... And we were very happy with the agreed-upon price! After the sale he spent time with us going over the features of the car. He has such a pleasant personality, we didn't feel rushed, and he answered all our questions very patiently and with a thorough understanding of all the car's many, many features. When we asked a service related question he took us over to the service department to get an accurate answer - he didn't just make something up. Most of the time I dread dealing with salespeople, especially car salesmen (no offense). I have to say, though, that working with Andre' made this purchase a surprisingly painless (and even enjoyable) process. I know that sounds weird, but this really has been a good experience all around. Ben also did a great job as our Finance Manager. Again, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and he didn't try to pressure us to buy the extended warranty or any of the other extras we didn't want. He presented the options and then let us decide. He also made sure we understood everything we were signing, and didn't try to 'hide' or 'sneak' something by us. Handled exactly the way I would have done - with honesty and integrity. The lady at the front desk (I don't know her name) was also very friendly and helpful - and although the decor of a place is not what determines where I buy a car, My Import was very welcoming and has awesome 3-dimensional metal sculptures all over the showroom! As you can probably tell, I don't like high-pressure salespeople, or those who will tell you anything just to make the sale. I appreciate those who follow the Golden Rule (treat others the way you would like to be treated), and My Import did just that. More
When shopping for my Subaru Outback I visited both this dealer and a dealer in Grand Rapids. I found this dealer to be more helpful in selecting the options I wanted. We strolled into the dealership on a miserable, snowy, Saturday afternoon to just "see" what was available and prices. If things went right this would be our third purchase from My Auto Import Center in M Saturday afternoon to just "see" what was available and prices. If things went right this would be our third purchase from My Auto Import Center in Muskegon, MI but we were open to other dealerships as well. Up strolled Andree Coffee offering to help us out. He was knowledgeable about his products, very personable, and eager to help us out. We gave him a budget to work with and he stuck right with it. The knowledge he had concerning the different makes of cars was commendable. He was able to immediately pinpoint what options we could afford with each make of car and stay within our budget. We sat down with him and he priced out three different vehicles then broke the three down by options and versions. He hit the nail on the head when it came right down to it. We leased a beautiful car in exactly the color we wanted. Could not have gone any smother than that. Driving home after sealing the deal, my husband and I both commented on how easy Andree had made things and that we would certainly seek him out in three years when we are ready to lease another vehicle. I was looking for a New Outback with particular options. When I called the dealership I was connected with Andre in Sales and he had the vehicle of my interest. My wife and I drove the next day to look at the vehicle and to test drive. Andre greeted us when we got there and had the car cleaned and ready for a test drive. We were very much impressed with the vehicle and the attention we received from Andre. We traded our Terrain and left with the new Outback. I have visited the dealership for service a few times for oil changes and minor adjustments and was pleased with the service department's attention to our needs and they were very prompt in handling my requests. To be honest, something along the lines of the typical name/phone number harvesting followed by a bloated quote. What did I get? Jason Meekhof picked up the phone and, within moments, provided me with an extremely competitive quote. It was clear to me that Jason was familiar with the product and knew exactly what he was doing. This was a complicated transaction as it involved a trade-in and the dealership was three hours away from my home. Jason was extremely professional, provided excellent communication through the entire process and, most importantly, followed through with everything he stated. The dealership experience was top notch and the finance manager Bill Ferry worked quickly and efficiently to assure that I was able to get back home to my family. It was well worth the drive and they have gained a customer for life. Do yourself a favor, bypass the typical dishonest sale runaround and talk to true xxxxxxJason and Bill at My Import of Muskegon. We stopped at My Auto before heading to GR to check prices on a new Subaru there. While standing in the GR dealership, Austin called with a price that the GR sales rep said was "unbeatable!" It was! I had an accident in Ludington MI on Valentine's day -- it was a Friday, snowing and late in the afternoon. Having recently moved to the west side of the state from Midland, I decided to have my car to -- it was a Friday, snowing and late in the afternoon. Having recently moved to the west side of the state from Midland, I decided to have my car towed to My Auto Import because they were the nearest Toyota dealership in the area. This was the second Toyota vehicle I had purchased and my prior experiences with Toyota dealerships were at the highest level and assumed that since it was a Toyota dealership, I would receive the same level of service. I was connected to Kelly Peterson and she made arrangements to have a car waiting for me since my car could not be driven. The tow truck made it to the dealership at 6:00 p.m. -- closing time. There was a salesman still there, unfortunately I did not get his name, but he went out of his way to find the paperwork Kelly had left and got me in the car so I could get back home. The next day, Saturday, I spoke with Kevin, in Service, and found out that the dealership did not have a body shop. There was a collision shop next door and he said he would get my car over to them on Monday so I could start the process of getting it fixed. So the point of this review is that even though my car was not being fixed by the dealership, they went out of their way to make sure I had a vehicle to use and got my car to where it needed to be. The staff I came in contact has been very helpful and professional and I look forward to knowing that they will take good care of me in the future when I need to have my car serviced. More
