As stated above and in phone conversation with Sean, all the problems I discovered with the repair work in the first evening (uneven alignment of hood and fender, wheel lock key missing, unable to change temperature and screen not responding and hood would not stay up) caused Northside Lexus Collision to lose all credibility. The car should not have been delivered in such poor quality. It made me question all the work under the hood and fenders that I could not see. I did not want my wife driving a car that was obviously not well repaired. Since this collision center chose to return a car to me in poor quality it is reasonable to conclude any additional work would be equally poor and untrustworthy. This job was a failure from estimate to delivery.

We take full responsibility for the missing wheel lock. Since you no longer own the vehicle, we won't have the opportunity to address the temperature/screen issue even though we did not perform any repairs with this component.. The issue of the poor fitment of the replaced body panels are due to the fact that the insurance carrier that paid for the repairs opted to utilize some non-Lexus factory parts. Prior to beginning repairs we notified you of this and gave you an option to cover the difference to use new Lexus factory parts, which you declined and agreed to the use of non-Lexus factory parts. As a certified collision center we can only guarantee proper fit and finish of a repair when genuine Lexus factory parts are used in a repair. We at Northside Lexus work hard daily to meet our guests expectations everyday and were sorry that in your case we didn't get the chance.

It appears that my overall concern is being ignored. Let me give an example. Not many of us would get on an airplane that had obvious mechanical and electronic defects along with evidence of the mechanics violation of protocol and his negligence. Few of us would get back on that plane after the same people involved report that all is good. In other words, the plane is not trustworthy and the personnel involved have lost credibility. The same issues apply here. I will not put my wife on the road in a car that has obvious problems upon delivery nor do I trust the same people who declared all was good in the first place. Northside Collision has lost credibility and my phone conversation with Sean along with the written responses are poor excuses for poor quality work. Again, this job was a failure from estimate to delivery. This level of compounded incompetence may be expected from a different manufacturer but it is shameful coming from Lexus.
