Good Buying Experience We had the intent of buying a new car and just by chance Phillips Toyota was the first dealership we stopped at. I didn't know at the time which car We had the intent of buying a new car and just by chance Phillips Toyota was the first dealership we stopped at. I didn't know at the time which car I wanted and my wife and I just wanted to look to see what was out there and find a car we really wanted. We were greeted by a salesperson, Chad Howell, who was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and knowledgeable. He explained to us the low pressure approach Phillips takes compared to the others in the area and was he proven to be right. We were shown during our visit a 2016 Scion IM which we also test drove and I really liked this car, especially the styling. We explained to Chad that we wanted to shop around some more and he said he understood and let us walk out without all the high pressure. We visited a few more dealers down the road in the next couple days where we really got the high pressure. One dealership sales manager actually chased us out to our car as we were leaving and slapped a piece of paper on our windshield with an offer $5000 less than their original offer. My wife found this extremely insulting as did I. We went straight back to Phillips and I told Chad if he can match or beat the offer we got at the other dealer for a comparable car that he had a deal, and Phillips beat the other price. We are now proud owners of a 2016 Scion IM. The only criticism I have is it took 2 1/2 hours for the dealership to do the prep and paperwork (which seemed rather long to us). But our salesperson, Chad Howell was a great to deal with and we left feeling satisfied that we got a good deal. More
