Had to take my Santa Fe in for a recall issue. Once there, the rep was very prompt and courteous, reviewed our repair history and made recommendations by writing them in pencil on the back of the servi there, the rep was very prompt and courteous, reviewed our repair history and made recommendations by writing them in pencil on the back of the service invoice, not on the front. Quoted almost $1600.00 worth of service that included "Spark Plug Tuneup, Drive Belt Change, Coolant System Flush, Brake Flush, and Trans Flush". I said no and just do the recall and also an oil change. He offered a free carwash after the service which we gladly accepted. We left while waiting for the service to be complete. While out I contacted our very trustworthy mechanic and inquired about the service that was recommended. He stated that none of those were necessary with the miles we had on the vehicle. We were called to pick up the car almost an hour earlier than what we were informed would be the approximate time needed to do the service. When informed that the car was ready, the service man stated that I needed to have the brakes replaced on the front and the back. I told him I would handle that myself. My wife drove the vehicle out of the service center and I followed in my other car. When we got home, I noticed that the car was not washed as promised, but I did notice that the battery had been disconnected to do the service required as many of our presets were altered and there was a new jingle that played when you turned off the ignition. I jacked up my car and looked at the brake pads and rotors. All were perfectly fine! The pads had had 1/4 inch of pad left and there were no pits, gouges, or polished hot spots noted on the rotors. I put everything back together and made my assessment of their recommendations as being false and misleading! So, after all that, I would not recommend going to them for service as they are only trying to gouge you out of your money by recommending service that is not required or needed. Go to a reputable mechanic and get your work done there on everything other than the recall issues. More

I have had multiple run ins with the dealership. This last visit wasn’t as bad but getting ahold of a knowledgeable person is impossible. I literally had to call 3 times before I got connected to anyone last visit wasn’t as bad but getting ahold of a knowledgeable person is impossible. I literally had to call 3 times before I got connected to anyone who had brains and could schedule me a service appointment d answer some basic questions. I also prefaced the person I dealt with that the last time I was in I had multiple problems and basically told him I didn’t want to be screwed over (young blonde female, you know the drill). This visit wasn’t so terrible but man, I can’t leave without paying over $300. I understand, it’s expensive. But geez. Don’t buy a Sonata folks. More
