Simple request . I specifically asked when I brought the car in that I needed to know if my tire treads were low. When my car was ready I asked about the tires and they said if there was a problem with tires they would have written something on my paperwork. I suspected that my tires were treads were low and would need to be replaced soon so I insisted that my tires be looked and treads measured. They were not happy about now having to do that and made me wait. When finally someone came over to measure the tires they said the tires were low and very close to not passing inspection. They said they’d do a temporary fix before the part arrives from Germany. They were more concerned on getting the loaner back because a dinged mirror was not a “safety” concern. I didn’t feel safe driving around with the mirror cover loose and hanging by a cord. I was told that it will be sent to the body shop temporarily and they will paint it and secure it till the new one arrives. I get to bmw and I see it has been taped with a cello tape. It is a brand new march 2019 car and that’s how I was expected to drive my car. I got upset seeing that and then two of your service employees took that off and pushed the cover in and I had to wait for that to get done when I went to pick up my car. The car was apparently ready with the cello tape and I had to wait on the day of the pick up for them to take out the cello tape and secure the cover in. So if I didn’t say anything on that day, bmw expected me to drive the car with the cello tape on? I got uncountable calls to bring the car in. My service advisor was on a leave. The manager Chris was requested for a call back because I wanted to know what was to be done when i was informed what was to be done with the car when they informed me I need to bring the loaner in. Didn’t get a call till 2 days from the service advisor frank to request for the owner. I said I spoke with Rafael and I was told the car would be ready in 2 weeks after the parts arrive. The manager Chris called me on Friday to again request for the owner. I said I will bring it in. I anyway didn’t like the loaner much. When Chris called me I requested him to call me on Monday 08/19 because I was upset after talking to my service advisor Frank. When talking with Frank I said this was upsetting what bmw was doing and the customer service where I can’t get through people. I said it was unfortunate. I was told that it was unfortunate that somebody dinged my car not what bmw was doing. I am paying a humongous amount of 2.3k for a mirror and this is what I get? I feel the amount should be worked upon after all this inconvenience where I had to go back and forth with the car still not being fixed! I have to tai wit in again when the mirror arrives. I expected better customer service from an esteemed company like you. I work in the legal department for Geico corporate and this behavior is beyond disappointing. Also I would like to thank the two employees who helped me when I went to get the car! Who helped temporary fix the mirror while I waited. If it was not for then I would be driving the car with the mirror looking ugly and secured with a cello tape. I hope you do something about this. Thank you. More
