They lost my Key and Couldn’t Return My Car! It was bad enough that a car with 4000 miles broke down, but they lost my key when I went to pick up the car. I waited 45 minutes and had to go inside It was bad enough that a car with 4000 miles broke down, but they lost my key when I went to pick up the car. I waited 45 minutes and had to go inside to ask why nobody brought my car out. No one came out to tell me. When I got upset, they got rude. This was a very very frustrating experience. I went back the next day with my spare set and asked that they provide me something in writing on the dealership letterhead to acknowledge they were responsible for replacing the missing key. This took almost a half hour to get a 1 line letter. It was addressed to whom it may concern and not to me. When I asked them to sign it, the woman who was supposed to be in charge of service got very flustered. She also dated the letter a year before. Finally the Director called me to let me know they had solved the mystery. My key was in another customer ‘s car. He had the key delivered to me with a sorry we screwed up gift. He was the ONLY pleasant part of the entire experience. Not the quality I would expect from BMW at all. More
