In June 2025, we brought our car to Planet Ford 59 for an oil leak. We paid around $1,700 to have the oil pan and gaskets replaced. When we picked up the car, the mechanic/service advisor literally told us t oil leak. We paid around $1,700 to have the oil pan and gaskets replaced. When we picked up the car, the mechanic/service advisor literally told us the car was in “amazing shape” and that we should hold on to it. Fast forward 4–5 months later (November 2025), we noticed a very small, slow leak and brought the car back — still within the timeframe where any competent mechanic should remember or stand by prior work. This time, they kept our car for 7–8 days, barely communicated, and then told us the cam shaft needed to be rebuilt for a jaw-dropping $10,000. Let me be clear: If the engine supposedly needed a rebuild, why wasn’t that caught just a few months earlier when we brought it in specifically for a leak? Why were we told the car was in great condition? Did they even look at it?Honestly why did pay over 1700.00 not to have all our gaskets replaced. When we finally picked the car up, it looked like it had just been sitting outside collecting dust and dirt, untouched. We decided to get a second opinion a few weeks later. Guess what the real problem was? 👉 A cam shaft GASKET. That’s it. Total cost to fix at another shop: $203 (parts and labor). Not $10,000. Not an engine rebuild. A gasket. Planet Ford 59 either: •Completely misdiagnosed the issue, or •Intentionally tried to scare us into an outrageous repair. Either way, it’s unacceptable, dishonest, and predatory. More
Very Satisfied with my experience at Planet Ford in Humble. No complaints. Nothing but positive things. Humble. No complaints. Nothing but positive things. More
Sales only cares about earning a commission not working with the customer to find the perfect car the customer is looking to purchase. I was not treated with respect but was talked down too as they tried with the customer to find the perfect car the customer is looking to purchase. I was not treated with respect but was talked down too as they tried to push me into signing paperwork on a car that was not what I was looking to purchase even though I had more than enough for a down payment and already approved for a loan from my credit Union.
