Got financed and drove off with my new car on a Sunday! I was in a real bind. My older SUV "died" suddenly, and I couldn't afford to replace the engine. I really didn't know how I was going to get another vehicle and had a lot of anxiety. My intuition told me to check San Tan Ford online, as they're located just down the street from where I live. I connected with their internet sales department and received a reply from John Dye right away. He asked me a few questions online and then called me on the phone soon after. I told him about my urgency in needing a vehicle ASAP and we scheduled an appointment to meet the next afternoon, a Sunday. John asked if I would be coming in with anyone so that I'd be able to drive my new car off the lot. I chuckled to myself because I really didn't believe that I'd be abe to get financed and purchase a vehicle that same day. Well, I was wrong. John helped me find the right vehicle and made the entire experience simple and enjoyable. I wasn't there for hours, wondering what was going to happen Everything was very straight-forward, and John helped me find exactly what I needed, at the right price point. John worked closely with Ted Steer, in the Finance Department, to get everything approved and finalized in an efficient manner. I'm so grateful to John for helping me during such a stressful time. I highly recommend John. He's professional, yet casual in his approach. He's respectful. He truly wants to help you find the right vehicle to meet your needs. There was never any pressure. Friendly at First I spent a great deal of time over the past week shopping for a new SUV. Over the course of my search I visited about 8-10 dealerships asking questions I spent a great deal of time over the past week shopping for a new SUV. Over the course of my search I visited about 8-10 dealerships asking questions, test driving SUVs and talking to sales individuals. I was immediately greeted upon arriving was shown the SUVs I was interested in and took a test drive. I was very up front with my sales person that I would not be purchasing a vehicle that day, I was still in my research phase, but expected to be purchasing something by the end of the week. I also let him know that being a salesman myself, I do not appreciate high pressure sales and that few things would turn me off more. After my test drive I asked him to let me know what the best price would be and that in the next few days I would make a decision. I won't go into details, but having seen the internet price and knowing what to expect from tax, licensing, etc, the price he came back with was absurd! Clearly he was planning to start high and work me. Despite telling him multiple times I would no be purchasing that day, he kept after me wanting to know what price I would buy the car at today. It got ridiculous!!! Finally his closer came out and worked me over for a few minutes. At this point I wasn't interested in buying from them at any time regardless of what the price was. They treated me with disrespect and did specifically what I had asked them not to do. I have since bought an SUV, the same model as the one I was looking at with San Tan Ford, but from another dealership (Chapman Ford), with staff that listened to me, respected my wishes and decision, and went above and beyond to take care of me. More
