I was told when I bought the car that I was getting a protection plan that covered everything. Turns out, it covers “everything but maintenance”. I asked how much a maintenance plan was. I guess that was their cue to pull me into an office and try to sell me on a $1200 maintenance plan that goes to 36k miles. What a scam. Maintenance was $30 that day out of pocket. $1200 isn’t exactly “saving me money”, especially when it’s only until 36k miles. Ridiculous. I was happy with the service itself, but I guess just make it more clear upfront that the extra warranty doesn’t include maintenance, and stop selling people the maintenance package. More
